I download FairUse4WM and tried to use it on some files that I currently AM able to play, but only for another 6 months. I would like to undrm it for this period. I am using XP with WMP9.

So I tried to use FairUse4WM fix2 and at first it asked me to locate something, I wasnt sure what I was doing so I pointed it to one of my mp3. It then seems to accepted it ok and change to a screen to allow me to add a bunch of wma to undrm. I tried one wma as a test and it worked.

Then afterwards later in the day I copied over all my wma, a whole bunch of them and started FairUse4WM again. This time it went straight to the "add" screen. So I added the whole list of mp3, and this time none of them worked! It all complained about something about cant open v9 licence file. What is the problem?? Do I have to extract some sort of licence or something? Maybe I need the first screen of FairUse4WM?

In general should I use FairUse4WM or freeme2? Is it true that if I use FairUse4WM I dont need to extract licence file, but with freeme2 I need to? Do they do the same thing?

Many thanks

AFAIK MP3 files don't have any DRM protection. FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm) works with Windows Media files only:
How to remove DRM from Windows Media Player files with fu4wm13fix-2 (http://undrm.info/faq/removing-DRM/faq-how-to-remove-DRM-from-Windows-Media-Player-files-with-fu4wm13fix-2.htm)

freeme2 (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/freeme2-freeware-lossless-DRM-remover-for-Windows-Media-WMV-WMA-files.htm) is used with drmdbg. There is lots of info about freeme2 in this forum.

If FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm) doesn't work for you, then you can try drmdbg with freeme2 (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/freeme2-freeware-lossless-DRM-remover-for-Windows-Media-WMV-WMA-files.htm) or drm2wmv.
