What exactly did you do to get this message? What software did you use?

Note that if you can't watch your video stream or listen to an audio stream, you won't be able to remove DRM from it.

You can't remove DRM from a file you can't play.

You may try to find SID and KID values in the internet and use them with drmdbg, drm2wmv. I won't be of any help here 'coz your actions are beyond fair use scheme.

Yeah, what about us who are having issues with AOL video. Thats fair use, it's even marked "free" on aol video. Just because you can't get a liscence that fairuse can use doesn't mean youre doing something wrong.

With any hard video stream or DRM protected content you may use screen video capture program (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/screen-capture-software.htm). Some of these programs can record video as well as sound.

Yes, I've tried many of those.. I get skipping, blocky video on the output..
Is this a product of the drm?

IMHO it is not a product of DRM. When using with such programs you should record without any compression or using a codec with low compression. On of the best codecs for this purpose is lossless codec Huffyuv. It provides very good quality, but generates a data stream of 10-15 MB/sec. Not every PC can handle such a data stream.

You may also use lossy Motion JPEG codecs: Morgan MJPEG, PICVideo MJPEG, MainConcept MJPEG. They generate data stream of 3-8 MB/sec while providing good quality.

P.S. After recording video to uncompressed format or using a codec with low compression you may convert videos to any other format using your favorite codec such as x264, Xvid,...
