Hello,

I've been trying to save streams from harmony concepts (a bondage site). The thing is they all open in real media player.

WM Capture does pick it up, and usually after a few attempts it starts downloading. The problem is the download is rather slow and I use up all the time I purchase, sometimes before the recording is completed. I'm just wondering if someone can suggest an alternative that might allow me to record faster. It may just be the site is slow or something, I don't know.

As an aside, I've been using Riptiger to record streams from another site, http://vs.surfnetcorp.com/video/aesppv/

The thing is there is a dip in quality. Not surprising, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a way to record streams as close to the quality of the source as possible.

I'm still fairly new at this. I looked at some of the postings here about rtmpdump, but honestly it just made my eyes glaze over.

So any assistance would be appreciated, if only to point me in the right direction.

That's a tough one - can't test it without paying for time and I'd rather not do that on my own dollar :-)

Have you tried WM Recorder (http://wmrecorder.com/) yet?

Yes, sorry, WM Recorder is what I've been using, not WM Capture.

I mean if it's just a slow recording of the stream then so be it. I'm just curious about whether I can do anything to help it record faster.
