Hey all,

amazingdiscoveries.tv has a bunch of lectures that I'd like to d/l in high quality. All their Hi-Qual vidz are for paying customers only, however they have low and medium quality vidz available for free. By analyzing the patterns of the Low&Med quality streams, I can figure out the hi-Qual locations easily enough, but NetTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm) is having trouble with a few for some unknown reason. Was wondering if someone might be able to help me:

example

It's lectures 4+9 that I'm having problems with. All the others download fine with no problems, but these ones crawl at a measly 1-2kb/sec and would take aprox. 150hrs. to complete at that pace when all the 9 other lectures in the series recorded in real-time and were done in around 1hr&30min each. Anyone else have this problem? I'm downloading with NetTransport, and HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) wouldn't even recognize the streams to begin with :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

As you already have the URLs, you can try to download with rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm).

Or you can use other RTMP downloading/capturing software, for example, my favorite Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm):

Hey, I figured it out with NetTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm). All I had to do was replace the ID info at the end of the URL (?cid=1708&aid=288443&afid=412732) and replace it with ".flv". Not sure why I didn't think of it earlier. The files are downloading in real-time now. Thanks so much for the tip. It actually came to me when I saw that rtmpdump needed a URL ending in .flv, so I gave it a shot in NT and the rest is history.

Thanks again! This forum rocks!
