I used to be able to record live streaming and flash videos with Real Player on windows. Now I am using Xubuntu and installed Real Player for Linux and there is no record feature. How can I activate this on linux?

You can use other streaming video recorders (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm) in Linux.

I do not recommend to use Real Player for recording online streams even in Windows:
