Is there any ways to switch off the monitor while it records events.

I am not familiar with this product.

I will guess, and say no. Why would you want to turn off a monitor to a security device?

Does it have a brightness knob? Perhaps you can turn down the brightness?

I could not find a manual in 60 seconds with a search engine.
