We developed a program to download rtmpe streams & transcode them to mpeg-2 video or mpeg-4 videos (currently half finished, only the download feature is available), it is able to browse and download video clips from video hosting websites of HTTP, RTMP, RTMPT, RTMPE, RTMPTE protocol, and these cover overwhelming majority of websites such as Hulu, Veoh, YouTube, Yahoo Video, etc.

Any FLV Downloader (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Any-FLV-Downloader-Download-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE-streams.htm) is freeware (but not open-source)

Initial skepticism aside, went ahead and tried this in a virtual environment and surprisingly it does indeed work.

I only tested hulu, but it works as well as my rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) was doing, and it has a nice gui, keep up the good work :)

I have a suggestion if the program is going to be useful with other sites besides hulu.

It seems the program doesn't have the same playlist detection as some other tools do, for example lets look at a show on MTV.com

Hulu downloader detects the first segment of the stream (there's 5) and gives the option to download it, however when its time to load segment 2 it doesn't prompt as if not detected. Also it only detects the 384x288 stream, when seemingly there are higher res options.

Now the obviously problem with this is that Jaksta developers are lame and dropped support for RTMPE due to Adobe's threat to sue the world. So if you tried to download any of those you would get a message like such.
*** Encrypted RTMP (RTMPE) with SWF Verification detected. It is not possible to record this stream legally. ***

Despite the program's not being allowed to download them, it did at least detect they were there, something I'd love Hulu Downloader to be capable of as it matures.

Short term request would be, is there any way to add the ability to download a rtmpe stream by link if you already know the url? This is something that a couple other tools can do that I enjoy. Currently the top url bar in Hulu Downloader only allows a http url and the "Download" window doesn't allow manual adding of anything.

Anyway, I hope something here is useful information, I've love to see your tool become more full featured :)

How to download videos with StreamTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/StreamTransport-Download-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE-streams.htm):

Open StreamTransport.
Go to link:
Type in the link of the video-sharing site you plan to go, and click Start button or press Enter on your keyboard to confirm.

URL detection:
Click in the page where the wanted video is playing, and the program will detect the video URL automatically for you.

Create download task:
Select the right URL in the detection list section and click Download to create a download task. There is detailed information of each video. For most streams, there will be ads before the main video. You can manually select the longer one and/ or latter one for the main video stream. And then, the Download window showing the progress of download will pop up.

Pause, Resume, Stop, Remove, and Locate video tasks.
In Download window, you can monitor the process of the download. You can also stop, remove, or locate a downloading task. For the stopped tasks, you can also resume them, but the download will start again from the very beginning.

If you write this, you put foreigners such as me at a disadvantage, because English is not my native language.

Otherwise concerning the function of StreamTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/StreamTransport-Download-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE-streams.htm), it isn't able to capture rtmp urls from myspace.com at all, when you listen to music on that page.
So you have to use Jaksta (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Jaksta-Streaming-Media%20Recorder-and-Converter.htm) or Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) to capture rtmp urls, but it writes that there's an SWF verification and otherwise the rtmp stream is encrypted, so it cannot be downloaded.

In order to circumvent this problem, you should use the most recent version of rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) and use the special commands -v and -swfVfy "http://lads.myspacecdn.com/videos/MSMusicPlayer.swf"

But in this case the downloaded mp3 file will be distorted somehow, so the only way to capture audio streams from myspace is to record it by the audio recorder of Replay Media Catcher.

So should you download a video file whose url hasn't been captured by StreamTransport and Jaksta or Replay Media Catcher wouldn't download the encrypted url, then that's the question: How would you download videos like that?

Rtmpdump might do the job, but what happens if not? Or you don't know the correct parameters...

And one more question: Why don't you have the possibility to paste the url somewhere in the StreamTransport? In this way you wouldn't be confined to the capturing.

Do you know if a version of RTMPDump works with Chaturbate? I have a crashing issue when a model goes private or into group, and sometimes when they return, when I use RTMPDumpHelper.

I haven't tried cutting Chaturbate downloads, but I've always had to re-encode the vids I get from MFC in order to cut them properly without any audio sync issues, or to seek through the video, like fast forward or reverse. Are you aware of any issues like that with Chaturbate downloads?

Try K-S-V's Flvfixer.php script on your MFC videos. It may fix them without having to re-encode them.

Don't worry, I found it here:

Seems to be ok as long as you skip all the optional apps when you install.

I'm still not getting this to work with Win 10, its still crashing as soon as the video starts playing, just as it did with Win 8 and 8.1. I've tried both IE and Chrome Cores.

Any ideas?
