Can anyone recommend a stream recorder for the mac?

There are no so many stream recorders for the Mac OS (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm#recmp) so I suppose you should try all of them, namely: Mac ASF Recorder, VLC Player, MPlayer.
