I'm trying to figure out the streaming method being used for the 1080p stream of these two YouTube videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4i-jYPMDUgc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5HhU_OnKrA
I've tried forcing flash and forcing html5 streaming. I'm guessing it is some piecemeal dynamic streaming, but no download clients are detecting what it is.

Hmm. Thanks, but did you actually download and play the 1080p file?
I agree that it is coming over http, but I don't think it is simple http.
It could be the CDN that I'm connecting to is different from what you're seeing.
Tubedigger and GetFLV get file fragments or audio-only mp4.
Other downloaders that normally detect http fine don't pick up any links.
I'll test some more I suppose.

Yeah, you are right. I did get your bookmark script working (after I enabled the bookmarks bar). Weird that several of the major utilities aren't working on these particular videos only.
Anyway, thanks for the bookmarklet doowhacky thing
