Aiseesoft has made 70+ spam posts in the forum, and it took us so much time to keep deleting this crap and keeping forum clean from spam. We've contacted Aiseesoft and warned them. There were no any reaction. Spam posts would appear daily.

We've started converting their post to "reviews" that they deserve for cloning ubiquitos software that nobody needs and spamming everywhere. Then we contacted them again and told them their spam won't be converted into profit here, that it will have a long term negative effect onto them.

They promised they would not use spam on our web-site. But they didn't stop. And they would send spam on behalf of other companies selling these clones.



Will we remove any negative reviews after you promise to stop sending spam to us?
Will a message like the following will be of any help?
We had said that we will never publish such post on your forum. Why don't you give us a chance to correct the defect. Everyone has possibility to make mistake. If he is been warned, he will correct it. There is an old saying:To err is human,forgive is god. Please delet the negative reviews for 4videosoft. Just give it a chance to correct. People will pay more attention to your website because it can offer wonderful information, not negative reviews. Just a few clicks, you website will be clean when you delet the devil post.
Tomorrow is anohter day. Give your visitors a nice impression on your website. And your deleting action will give them a happy mood.
First of all, it is really bad to send spam. Low quality products should be filtered somehow. If you make 1 spam post, we usually just delete it. But if you continue to send spam even after promising to stop, there is no way back. You get exactly what you deserve.

Secondly, when you lie that your affiliates send spam and you can't control them, and send spam on behalf of the company and not affiliates, you deserve negative comments twofold.


I receive spam posts in my forum/blog too. What should I do about it?

First of all, make sure robots can't send spam to your forum/blog. Use captcha that can't be desiphered or other ways to prevent robots from registering. Note that the newer spamming software can handle not only captcha, but also logical questions that are used by add-ons like NoSpam. Note that you can still create questions that no software can handle.
Install an add-on moderating all posts of new users.
Install an antispam filter like Akismet that can detect many spam posts and add them to the moderation queue.
When you see affiliates that use spam to promote their web-sites, contact the affiliate network and request to ban the affiliate (for example, lots of spammers are affiliates of RegNow; you can contact account@regnow.com and request accounts of affiliates-spammers to be banned).
When a company itself sends spam, notify its hosting provider and its domain name registrar and request to ban the web-site.

p.s. But we suggest you to warn the spammer first. We also suggest you to distinguish between spam from the company and its affiliates.
