I want to be able to capture the equivalent of mediasite's "publish to go" via the streaming feed. Please check out the examples at mediasite stream at mediasite.com

I want to be able to capture both streams simulataneously and link the high resolution jpegs with the streaming video.

I want t obe able to blow each one up to full screen and have the streams continue to be linked.

so when you close the full screen video the high resolution ppt jpeg is right there linked up - since the video gets blurry.

the publish to go option is the whole package you receive in your browser on your HD. Would it be possible to capture this all?

I've tried WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) and captured the video, but the linking really makes the mediasite presentation useful.

You can use screen video capture program (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/screen-capture-software.htm).

More information about presentations can be found in our FAQ
FAQ: Downloading/Ripping/Capturing/Recording/Saving streaming media with slides (online presentation) (http://all-streaming-media.com/faq/recording-media-stream/faq-saving-streaming-media-with-slides.htm)

"If an online presentation runs its slides in a browser or player window, there is no stream recorder I know that can help you to record it. "

mediasite runs through a browser...

It has a .wmv stream which you can snag with wmrecorder but you can get the syncing with the highresolution .jpeg slides which are in the other box on the browser page.

Someone should pressure some software designers to tailor their snagging to this type of presentation to get better recording of this type of streaming file.

This is not a common request so I really doubt that someone will create software for this.

mediasite is actually blowing up in the audio-visual education and business world. check google.

Thanks for your link,

I'm experimenting with metaproducts offline explorer (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Offline-Explorer-Pro-Download-complete-web-sites-with-streaming-audio-video.htm) enterprise. I wish it could record at 5x, 10x, etc like WMrecorder could. I'm using 4.7

Actually Offline Explorer Pro (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Offline-Explorer-Pro-Download-complete-web-sites-with-streaming-audio-video.htm) would be enough. The Enterprise version is made for programmers who want to manipulate Offline Explorer fro their software.

It allows you to capture entire websites with multiple streams.

Anyway, I need help using the software and I've had no luck using the forums by the company. I thought I'd give my favorite forum a try.

I'm trying to get a lecture from www.mediasite.com (http://www.mediasite.com).

The mediasite software sends it's presentation webcast through a browser when streaming. When using the streaming file in the browser you have lots of cool features like syncing to the slide... you can blow up the slide to a full .jpeg full screen and as the lecture progresses the slide updates. You can blow the video up full screen too. You can run the video in double time or half time.

Anyway, I'm trying to capture all of these features and I believe offline explorer enterprise or pro can do it. I just don't know how to set it up.

The first time I tried the thing went off on a tangent and started getting all these sub-webpages and eventually started copying pages from microsoft.com. I need help setting up filters etc to be not too much and not too little.

Can anyone help me?

I couldn't download the slides. I thought my settings were wrong. But after contacting the developer it appeared that it is kind of problematic to get the slides from a frame. So unfortunately Offline Explorer Pro (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Offline-Explorer-Pro-Download-complete-web-sites-with-streaming-audio-video.htm) is not of much help here.

So you were able to get the website skins and the video, but not the .jpeg higher resolution pictures of the slides and the remaining sub links on the page?

Has anyone else found a better solution for capturing www.mediasite.com presentations?

Thank you!

Exactly! O.E. can't get slides from this web-site.

I'm still trying to get a way to do this. Are there any other stream recording forums out there?

Any updates in software that might see this ability included?

The following streaming media forum was very popular
p069.ezboard.com/bstreemeboxvcr
until our forum has stolen the spotlight. The most experienced member of the forum veblin haven't visiting the forum for more than a year. Another very experienced member compn is a moderator of our stream recording forums.

You may also visit the following forum that is created to support software of Applian Technologies, the leading developer of stream recording software:
forum.applian.com

Other forums that have tiny stream recording sections:
forum.videohelp.com
forums.afterdawn.com

The problem is that this question is more about offline browsers like Offline Explorer Pro (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Offline-Explorer-Pro-Download-complete-web-sites-with-streaming-audio-video.htm). There is no problem recording Windows Media streams, but the slides can't be downloaded easily. IMHO you should find a forum about offline browsers and ask a question in it.

p.s. Unfortunately I really doubt that any developer of stream recording software will make this task urgent.

Hey med007 / stream recorder -

Did you guys ever have any luck figuring out how to capture the complete presentation slides?

As you explained, I am able to capture the video but having both is very important to me.

Thanks.

You may try the latest version of Offline Explorer Pro (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Offline-Explorer-Pro-Download-complete-web-sites-with-streaming-audio-video.htm). You may also try to find slide links with freeware URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) and then download the slides with any download manager (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/download-managers-with-streaming-media-downloading-support.htm).

However you will have lots of slides that needs to be linked to your streaming video somehow. That is the main problem.

IMHO screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) is the best recording option here.

This is what worked for me when trying to download video and slides from a sonicfoundry presentation:

URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) for the slides (set protocol filter to "Show All", and enter a keyword specific to the URL of the slides in the Keyword Filter; eg "640". simply jpg would probably work too but has the disadvantage that the URL's of other images on websites you visit in the meantime might get captured as well. When the video has stopped playing, "Stop Search" in URLSnooper; Select All URL's and paste it in a txt file, saving it on the Desktop with as filename.lst This file can then be loaded in NetTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm)
(Net Transport 1.87 is the last freeware version (http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/page9.html)) to batch-download the bunch.

In combination with WebVideoCap (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WebVideoCap-Freeware-stream-capture-software-for-HTTP-flash-RTSP-MMS-Windows-Media-streams.htm) for the video part.
