I use Win7 32bit OS. I downloaded latesr RTMPdump 2.4. The message I am getting after the movie url is tracked is:

My apologies. I had generalized the movie name as xyz and movie number that appears in url as 0000 to mask my search for fear of running into trouble. The movie is circus queen. I thought the results I was getting after the link would find some specific answer. Basically any movie I try to download [even ones I got there previously] just won't download anymore. The error message I posted was what I was hoping someone could analyse. In previous versions I used to get the movie after an initial minute of handshake errors and retrying/refreshing. Now it gets the link but does not get to streaming download.
The link is - I have attached image of the same window now.
The message I get is:

I can't understand suddenly why it won't work. I opened the movie in IE, Mozilla Firefox and even Google Chrome browsers to see if it could sniff the rtmpe streams. Just fails to latch onto the movie after sniffing it.

I wonder why we get diff url on each version of windows!! You got this on Win7:

and me on Win XP Sp3:
rtmpe://fms.1B42.edgecastcdn.net/001B42/
That's interesting!!

in the same rtmpdump folder, create a new "Text Document", Open it, paste that link in it, save it. Then rename "New Text Document.txt" file to "command.bat"!! click on it to run "rtmpdump"!!
or download this (http://www.mediafire.com/?3idxolpi0pz16xf) and paste it in the rtmpdump folder and run ...!! ;)
BTW I am using the same rtmpdump you linked.

Hahaha. Initially I had downloaded the linked rtmpdump files that you gave and still I was getting same damned error that fizzled out after the url came up.
This text document of url that you gave now - should it be a notepad? It's crazy but I created a notepad with that url and named it command.bat and ran your command file that you linked and just like that it is downloading the video without even opening the damned rtmpexplorer. How did this happen? So tell me how can I obtain this url everytime my explorer fails? Should I copypaste from rumpsrv window when the link appears and use it in command.bat notepad? This is crazy but the file is now downloading in a crazy way I never imagined.
Even more curious case is why it is failing in rtmpexplorer and downloading through the command.bat file you linked on it's own through the notepad url??? Until now I used to get files off handshake message that went client sent 6, server answered 9. Now it doesn't work here and running it off your command file is giving as server answered 8 and it's working? Wonder why? Thanks for your help and patience.

This text document of url that you gave now - should it be a notepad?
That's easiest way to create a batch file (Creating txt and rename into bat)!!
It's crazy but I created a notepad with that url and named it command.bat and ran your command file that you linked
I misunderstood this section!! You have created "command.bat" and also downloaded "command.bat" that I'd uploaded/linked?
wasn't need to doing both work!!
I'd said "create it" or "use created one by me"!!
and just like that it is downloading the video without even opening the damned rtmpexplorer. How did this happen?
just you used "rtmpdump" directly!! "rtmpexplorer" is GUI version of "rtmpdump". "rtmpexplorer" will use "rtmpdump" for downloading the link!! So, it doesn't need to open "rtmpexplorer"!!
So tell me how can I obtain this url everytime my explorer fails? Should I copypaste from rumpsrv window when the link appears and use it in command.bat notepad?
As we saw, you've got different link with rtmpexplorer!!
Also "RTMP Server(rtmpsrv)" will run "rtmpdump" for downloading the link!! You'll run rtmpdump directly if you do that work!!

and can connect to this one(As I mentioned before):

Never mind. I got it. I didn't save it as a bat file [instead of a txt file in the first instance backed by all files option]. I erred in saving it as notepad txt file and then simply renamed it.

I tested this batch file. I created a successful batchfile off the link I am getting in explorer. Unfortunately it doesn't catch the movie. I changed the server link from the one you got from and recreated batchfile and ran it. It changed the server number from 9 to 8 again. But again it doesn't give me the movie. This is bizarre as your batchfile helped me download the movie without a hitch. I don't know why I am running into stubborn servers and why my created batchfiles don't work. Something is missing in this puzzle. Can't figure out where the problem lies.
Must be something in Win7 thats messing up. I don't know.

Its the whole address. The link you gave me did not refer to a change in server but also the parameters in that url. I compared both urls word by word and found lots of difference in the url address. So finally I just changed the last bit into your url. Just the movie name and number in the vault bit retaining the rest of your url and converted to batch file and wham....it works like hell. The whole url in my case was directing me into a vault that I was not penetrating. In your case you are reaching a different vault in a different server that is accessible. So changing just the movie name and it's associated number made it work. For example [obtain movie name - number detail from my url and replace it in your url as suggested in bold text below]:
rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://fms.1B42.edgecastcdn.net/001B42/vault/videoclips/movies/" -a "001B42/vault/videoclips/movies/" -f "WIN 11,1,102,55" -W "http://www.bigflix.com/apache_file/flash/Player.swf?f=1322768888359" -p "http://www.bigflix.com/home/movies/movie-name/html link movie number" -y "mp4:moviename.mp4?e=movie vault swf number" -o mp4_moviename.flv
Now why am I directed to the one where I am not getting through is a mystery? Is it due to country and location thats causing change in servers, some more resistent to downloaders than others? I hope people who are having difficulty will save this url and work the name/number stuff from there.
I must thank you sir for at least getting me a working url where I can create batchfiles and download till the next upgrade happens in rumpdump or the servers. Should sail me through a couple of months.

You should change extension of file from .txt to .bat .
Go to Control Panel-->Folder Option-->"View" tab and then un-mark: "Hide extensions for known files type"!!
if you don't, you can't rename it correctly and will have sth like this: "command.bat.txt"
is it due to country and location thats causing change in servers..
I think, yes!!
and I'm glad you could found what the problem was!! good luck!!;)

Fortunately I was using save as option while converting to batchfile so it allowed me to change file extension. I think the model url I have posted should help anyone else having same kind of server problems where they are getting the link but not the movie. All they need to to do now is to obtain and replace the movie names and numbers [in places where bold text in my url is] and convert to batchfile to get the download rolling.
Thanks a heap. I learnt how to make batchfiles and bypass urls and bypass servers thanks to you. If things stop working at some point later on I will probably need someone just to give me a url off a server that works again. I wonder if there is any way to RESUME a timed out or a netlag stopped download? Any code that works? many time in past I had internet lags stop a download and it went to a full download again on retry.

In a recent development last evening, suddenly a whole lot of movie urls started having '_256' with movie name. Example if you are downloading a movie called xyz, the movie video file would be called -y mp4:xyz_256.flv in main url in source area [This doesn't effect the end movie name in target at url end, just in the name in the vault followed by an associated number with '?e=']. These files wouldn't bypass servers and download. Bahman found out that removing that variable _256 from source flv name in the url actually worked in downloading the movie. It was some strange system decoy. Bizarre yes but something we should know.
It's a different thing that after downloads when I retested those movies in rtmpexplorer again today morning to see if the links continued with _256 parameters of the same movies, I was surprised to find it stopped appearing and movie names went to normal labelling. Very crazy that. But the point is if someone gets such an extension that rtmpdump can't process, just delete it from the url in source name.

How can I use it in batchcommand? What would be the process to implement -s X.X.X.X:XXXX. Is it just a url thing or is it something to also change and enter in browser and my cablenet settings? How to use socks proxy to bypass server and DL?
