now first of all,thank you very much to the releasing of the program,I want study how make to reassemle all the chunk and how to calculate the other values of the other box to make the original ismv file(that can be opened only with expression encoder),but i don't have the time to study about it; i would ask you some thing:

1)are you available to host on your web site also the source code of the utility?I'm interested in the source code because the link of source streaming of this thread

is no more available but i have stored in my hdd all the chunks of the highest bitrate with the relative audio and i 'm very happy if you can help me to riassemble oll the chunks

2)there are some parameters to add at the bat file to personalize the download, for example the download of only one stream with the highest bitrate

3)is possible remake the original ismv file or is possible only make the mkv file?

4)there are some difference in the quality of audio and video from ismv to mkv?i have seen that mkv is a new container but always for the time i don't have study what is the the difference about codec and container

i've chosen MKV because MKV supports all kind of available streams in Smooth Streaming, and for example VC-1 tracks are very rare in (non ismv) MP4 files (i have never seen any of them). But the MKV is supported with VC-1, AAC, H264 streams in many embedded systems, the only problem: WMAP audio streams doesn't, but on PC u can easily play all type of streams. And if u want to, u can convert the WMAP track(s) to AC3 because there are many useful tools on PC for MKV editing.

The implemetation supports the track selection, so u can choose what u want. The mux does not recode the fragments, it uses the MKV format to put all the samples into one file, and it does not create ismv file. And if u have all the chunks downloaded to your PC, and u have the manifest file, we can mux them into a playable MKV file.
