Hi, I 'm trying to download a show from ITV. (http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=297965).
I am finding a very weird problem when running this with RTMPexplorer. It downloads the file which plays before the show, then stops and does not download the main program.
What I am left with is a file that says "You're watching ITV Player bringing you ITV1", But never a file. Unfortunately due to me being absoloutely broke right now, I can't afford software such as GetFLV, even though it would work.
This same error appears on Debian and Windows 7.
I've included a screenshot of the problem. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Use combination of rtmpexplorer and rtmpsuck (instead of rtmpsrv)!!;)
Or try this instruction (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/showpost.php?p=33008&postcount=10)!!

Just tried to have a look at that programme and the player is giving a "not available" error (see attached image). Your screenshot shows that you are successfully downloading "... ITV1sting_Ribbons ..." which is the short introductory clip. What you should be looking for is something like "1-9358-0521-001-DAYBREAK-(2012)_TX100112_ITV800_16x9".

Thank you very much for the help so far! I've tried to experiment on a lot of shows, and the method you have stated seems to work on "CITV" shows; but not any other channels. This must be due to that CITV doesn't have a small clip playing before the show.

Let's try another link which lasts this time. (http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=297536).
I used the rtmpsrv/rtmpexplorer, but it does not seem to come up. Also the rtmpsuck leads to a zero size file. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I 'm trying to download a show from ITV. (http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=297965).
That programme is now playing without error. One thing to be aware of is that the authentication is only valid for a couple of minutes, so you have to be quick between getting the rtmpdump command line and executing it. If you're still having problems, PM me and I'll see what I can do.
