I used a digital copy of a movie on my computer and tried transferring it to my android phone only to realize it doesn't support drm. I am looking for a free way to be able to get the drm off so I can watch it on my phone. I have a computer with windows xp but since I already put it on my computer with windows 7 it wont let me transfer it to my other computer unless theres some way I don't know about.

What kind of file format does your DRM protected file have?

Its a wmv I got it from a digital copy off a bluray movie. I would like to play it on my android phone as well as my netbook, but my phone doesn't support drm and its already on my desktop so I cant tranfer it to my netbook.

It is probably better to rip a blu-ray disc with software like AnyDVD HD (http://all-streaming-media.com/CD-and-DVD-burning/AnyDVD-HD-Decrypt-AACS-from-HD-DVD-and-Rip-HD-DVD-to-hard-disk.htm) and then convert it to some other format.

Alternatively you can stream your movie to cell phones, computers, ...

And you can use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) for re-recording DRM protected files (I haven't seen any lossless DRM removal programs for WMV files that work in Windows 7 yet).
