Has anyone had any success with this using rtmpdump or any other programs? I've tried Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) and while that can capture it, it only records 30 seconds to about 2 minutes of the stream and then stops and signals it as complete.

You shouldn't have any problems recording live RTMP streams with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) in the RTMP recording mode:
A problem recording some Ustream.tv

You can also try other programs that allow to capture RTMP streams (not download them).
