I am not quite sure what you mean. It works just as Jaksta & RMC have always worked before. Providing it is monitoring, it will cap any cam when you open it, or have them on re-load and they start broadcasting.
If you are talking about setting up a schedule, then I have never used that so can't help you there.

Ah, I wasn't sure how it worked. I meant something like setting it to record a particular cam whenever it went active rather than having to open it up in a browser and then tell it to cap that particular stream.

On CB the window must stay open, you can also record more streams but only as many as cams you can look at the same time

thanks, seems I do something wrong, as I can only record one stream and it has to be permanently open on cam4, any settings I have to change in Jaksta to record more than one stream at the same time ???

Sorry, but there won't be any updates for cam4cmdline. Cam4cmdline uses librtmp.dll to download the models. Cam4 has added a custom command that librtmp.dll doesn't understand. I'm not a C-programmer, so I'm not able to modify it, to add the custom command. I do have my own rtmp code for MFC, but it's too much work to modify it for Cam4.

It would appear that using JMC 6.0.0.90 in DVR mode on Cam4 that adverts are now inserted in the stream after 2-3 seconds rendering the recording useless. :mad:

Because it isn't really possible to do that. Often it's not just a custom command with standard data that needs to be sent, but you need to read the incoming data, do something with it and then send that specific data in the custom command. Also, in the case of Cam4 the custom command isn't always sent. 9 out of 10 times it is, but certain specific data received from Cam4 needs to be checked to see if the custom command must be sent or not. There's pretty much no way you can create a general rtmpdump version to cover all this.

PS: Would be nice if you could also add a player output command as | to pipe the stream into a player.If you do then I would build a nice GUI which I could post on this topic if anyone wants a GUI. :)

I have written a quick n dirty windows batch file for the cam4cmdline to allow input of model name and selection of play or save (obviously editing of paths will be required) if any one would like me to post.
It is not the most elegant piece of coding !

I think most people don't want to play cat and mouse with just another site, if you disclose all information and make it available to the plebs you will have to patch your program over and over. cam4 started to implement some checks here and there (hello log2.cam4admin.com)

I even posted the source code of the current cam4 swf, (only missing some basic math, hehe. ) but yet nobody seems to care about a public fix, do it on your own and keep it to yourself.

so my knowledge about rtmp/* handling (Headers AMF) is almost 0 (didn't checked this yet) so that I only can use / control extern tools as RTMPDump & Co but of course I would like to code any own stream dumper (maybe later if possible) which I can update / expand etc to be independently to use other dumpers.

About your tool picture: What the heck! :) Looks very massive but nice.Seems that you handle all three cam sites at once. :) But it also seems (if I see it correctly) that you do download the entire cam traffic too. :) Anyway,so maybe you should post your tool on this topic so then all would be more happy so I think.

ok I finished my GUI and hope that I didn't forgot anything etc but if so then just post any bug infos.I created a detailed infos text file of the main features and also made some example pics which you can find inside of my package so that nothing can go wrong.

Some infos: My GUI should work on all Windows OS from XP - higher (only testst on XP SP3 and not testst on higher & 64 bit systems).The CMD tool by Elgero needs NET 4.0 (Client Profile should be enough) so keep this in your mind.Send any feedback if something dosen't work with my GUI etc.If you don't know whether or which NET version you have installed on your system then you can use a Net Detector tool...

Thanks Elgero! On my PC, the program doesn't terminate when the broadcast ends though. The filesize and time just freeze. Any tips on how I can resolve this? Also, it would be great if the program could automatically save the stream to file like in the old version. Would this feature be in the pipeline?

As per the example, just wrap the path in quotes. The following would work fine:

Wow... Elgero, you're a genius! cam4cmdline is really a great application :)

In the old version, we typed the cam4 user name and the application would start recording and save the file in a directory of the user and the file name would be the user name with a date and time stamp. e.g. username: hellothere, file saved in "cam4\hellothere\hellothere_(2015-09-27_23-59).flv". It would be great if the updated application could do this as well.

This way if someone captures few streams at once, it will be easier to interrupt the unwanted ones. Currently is kinda hard to distinguish which console is for which stream.

Are you using the batch file? Because if you run cam4cmdline manually, then the filename you have entered should already be displayed in the console window.

If you're using the batch file, then open it with notepad and add the following line

echo Saving as: %fname%

so it looks like this

Well, I'd suggest you do the same as itsme did at first : release it privately.
Either vet users through PMs or something before sending it, instead of making it publicly available.

Sorry, but I don't really have time to answer 30 private messages per day from people asking for a download link. There's also no point in doing that. There's no difference between posting a public download link and telling everybody that they can private message me to get the download link.

Yeah, it kinda broke compatibility with chrome, so I guess they rolled back. Couldn't watch cams logged in yesterday.

If you have a website that you use to make money and has well over 100.000 visitors per day, then don't just implement updates, but first make sure they work properly in all major browsers. They're just hurting their own business... not that I care.

It seems that the challenge must be sent every 30 seconds now or else it stops sending the stream after a minute.

I've said this many times before, but the admins of all those webcam sites are well aware that these stream-recorder.com forums exist. As soon as you publicly post a tool to download the webcam streams, they'll change it again... and again... and again, so there's no real point in posting updates.

This is exactly what "itsme" meant with do it on your own and keep it to yourself (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/showpost.php?p=80011&postcount=284).

Personally I don't care about cam4 at all, cam4 is a mess. This is one big turd of a webcam site with all the low quality, stuttering webcam streams. I posted an updated version of cam4cmdline again, because many people asked me to fix it, but I'm not going to post updates week after week after week.
@Elgero Please update the version of the program or release the source code ...:( :( :(

The reason why the code is protected is because I wrote this code with somebody else and we agreed not to share it. I'm also using this code in my commercial applications, you know, to pay bills, feed my daughter.

Sadly it seems that donations are not enough.

Every decent coder around here has his own reasons not to update/share his tools, which are not only money-related.

I mean not returns error like

but repeat request to the c4.

after i spent about 3 days i make script work under wine, the main trouble was i don't want to install any gui on my server, so i was try to install dotnet2.0 under console, but at the end i was install xwindows then dotnet
After i install dotnet system start normally,
But i don't see any reasons to download only one model, i was made simple program which was check if model is already downloading and start downloading if not. The next trouble was unable to start this as service, i used python to make this script, and i was try to install this script on supervisorctl, and it was fail.
At the moment script is work with list of models, but when i start it manually, not as service. If author make something like whitelist and make it work with many models, i will make him a golden kick :-)))

Cam4cmdline is 100% clean. Cam4cmdline has been obfuscated, which turns the source code into a tangled mess, so it can't be decompiled so easily.

Virus/malware writers use obfuscators to hide their malicious code, which gives their .exe a certain signature. Anti-virus software put this signature in their virus database. The problem is that every legitimate application that uses the same obfuscator, gets the same signature and is also detected as a virus by anti-virus software.

Btw, Cam4 isn't (currently) using any custom commands anymore, so the source code of the old cam4cmdline I posted on page 17 can be easily modified to work again.

You do not need any tools for getting link to rtmp stream anymore, just use http://c4player.net for watching (fullscreen, multicam, etc) and rtmp-link, if you want.

Do not forget choose your language for interface from dropdown list at top of page.

I was talking about C# to be able to update c4cmdline without Elgero doing it for us.

Sure the old c4cmdline source code is still available.
Sure there have been hints posted about most-likely-to-work patches, or what to look after to patch.
But, as I said, without knowing anything about C#, that doesn't get us far.

So, the soft calling rtmpdump (and answering the various custom rtmp challenges to keep the stream alive) is what exactly ?

I don't know if there are specific guides/instructions posted here on the forums, but if you search for 'rtmpdump', then you will find hundreds of threads with examples that show how to use it. You can also use RTMPDumpHelper to get the required parameters.

Cam4 has changed the Authorization of the rtmp Stream.

The rtmp Server now check your user Credentials and if you have no rights to view the show (you have not paid for ect.) the Server will reject your download request.

So it will not give any news for it on the reason that there are no way to bypass this.

You only can download free Shows and record Shows there are you paid for.

I guess it's not a bad alternative. It creates an unnecessarily large file size but you could always convert the file later to shrink it.

I believe, as I think already have said, that you could still record Cam4 pvt directly but only if you are paying for it (if you are in room with the model). Otherwise it is most likely not possible anymore.

Sorry but I never had credits for testing so I can not give you the answer on that question. Someone else should. By the way, I am not using C4 downloader.

I am sorry to say but the time of sharing has died long time ago. Honestly, I doubt anyone will confirm here in public if so (in case of that happens cam4 admins will patch the hole again very soon after reading it here at the board so it is a lot better not to happen). What is even worse, most likely no one will send you a PM even with the answer. And the worst of all is that expecting to get a working solution from anyone is like a pure science fiction (even if you offer working solution for some other cam site in return chances are very very small).

There are two things you could do. Either put some time in searching for solution at the internet (which will probably end without results), either to try and find it by yourself (which is most likely a lot harder if you don't have skills and knowledge requiring way much more efforts - if it is possible at all).

Anyway, I wish you good luck with the search !

I'm an idiot, I could locate all the three files required for C4downloader.exe, but its just connecting and nothing happening? where should I "place" the rtmpdump.exe file? or what am I supposed to do with it? I'm using Windows 7 X64 Pro SP1.

Install Python 2.7.13 in C:/Python27 directory and than using Windows Command Promt install Streamlink module v.0.5.0 with:

pip install streamlink

after you can add cam4.py in C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\streamlink\plugins\cam4.py

c4.bat and C4_Model.txt put in C:/Python27 directory and finally start c4.bat

Does anyone have a way to cap cam4 unattended? Was using Elgero's cam4 grabber but that no longer works and he seems to have given up on this site after it went offline for a bit.
