I just purchased the $45 all access pass to MotoGP.com enabling access to all of their videos, including full high res race videos. I'd like to record the streaming WMV files so I can go back after the pass expires and watch the races again.

I've downloaded a few MMS saving programs, but I keep running into the issue of authentication. It will not accept my username/password for Motogp.com. I know there is a way around the authentication because a few days after new clips are released, they show up on Youtube and Google video.

Here's an example of the mms string and what someone suggested I do (username:password@):

mms://username:password@wm.motogp-emea-secure.edgestreams.net/wm.motogp-emea-secure_!/ppv_multimedia2/460/460650_27796.wmv?auth=caEcFaebedEd3amdEb4dXbqbTcVa xafaBdF-bePiyv-c0-wxGytB&aifp=1234

Any suggestions? I'd like an OS X program, but I have downloaded SDP and am currently running it in XP via Parallels. It prompts for the username/password, but the one that I use to login to motogp.com isn't accepted.

Also, if someone is willing to help, I can PM them my username/password so they can try to record it.

Windows Media stream recorders for mac OS (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm): ASFRecorder X, MacASFRecorder. You may also use VLC Player, MPlayer.

WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/streaming-video-recording-wmrecorder.htm) is the most powerful Windows Media stream recorder for Windows. I suggest you to try it in the PRO or/and ADA mode. In both modes you may record Windows media stream your Windows Media Player shows.

You may try other Media stream recording software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm) or you may PM me a login/password so that I can try to record.

I had no any problem recording Windows Media streams with WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/streaming-video-recording-wmrecorder.htm) and Real Media streams with RM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rmrecorder-save-Real-stream-to-disk.htm) (I used the PRO mode in both).

I also tried to record with Mass Downloader (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Download-manager-Mass-Downloader-Record-HTTP-MMS-MMST-RTSP-PNM-media-streams-Free-download.htm) and Net Transport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-windows-media-and-real-video.htm#NetTransport).
After setting up a referrer URL and one of the following user agents:
- "NSPlayer/9.0.0.XXXX" for Windows Media streams (without quotes, X is a 4-digit number)
- "RMA/1.0 (compatible; RealMedia)" for Real Media streams
both were able to record.

I used free Project URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/packet-sniffer/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) to find hidden stream URLs. Although there was no problem to find Windows Media stream URLs by right-clicking on the embedded Windows Media Player and selecting "Properties".

As for the stream URLs they appeared to look somewhat different, namely:
http://video.motogp.com/ppv_multimedia2/XXX/XXXXXX_XXXXX.wmv
http://video.motogp.com/ppv_multimedia2/XXX/XXXXXX_XXXXX.rm
And they were not password-protected.

There may be some other URLs. You may PM me them.
