Hello...I have a daughter who is entering college this fall (2009) and she will play volleyball for her school. The school streams all the home matches live on the internet and I was wondering if there is a tool/app that can record the live stream while I am away from the PC, similar to a DVR? Thanks for any help!

If you post the URL, we can try to rip/download/capture your stream.

You can also use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) that can record anything from your screen including live online broadcasts

If you want to download/rip your stream, I need to know the protocol and format used.

As for recording from screen, the only screen recorder I know that has a scheduler is liteCam (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/liteCam-easy-to-use-screen-recorder.htm).

You may download free trial versions of Jaksta (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Jaksta-Streaming-Media%20Recorder-and-Converter.htm) and WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) and see whether they can download/capture your streams.
