I'm looking for software that will record a live or recoreded WebEx session. Sometimes the sessions are live and sometimes they are archived recorded sessions and I am just reviewing them before they are deleted. Does anyone have any ideas?

What site were you specifically looking to record from?

Thank you for the reply. I watch a weekly presentation as an audience member through my laptop and the Webex viewer. I would like to record the 1 to 3 hour event so I'm trying to find the correct software that I can run simultaneously with the Webex viewer. I'm not very familiar with this type of software and all the different types of files etc... Also, this is not something I'm doing to rip any one off or anything. It's just for archiving and future research of past shows. :)

I'm not sure that the website matters. Any ideas on my question? It appears that you may think that I am doing illegal. I am not.

You can try to record WebEx presentations with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) and WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm), but most probably only screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) will be able to do that.

What is the difference between WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) and WM Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/WM-Capture-screen-video-capture-software-that-records-with-high-quality.htm)? And are either programs capable of capturing the video and audio on screen without a microphone (directly from inside the PC)?

WM Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/WM-Capture-screen-video-capture-software-that-records-with-high-quality.htm) is a screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/). It can record anything you can see on your screen.
WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) is a streaming audio/video ripper software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm) that can download/rip/capture audio and video streams. With WM Recorder you get exact copies of online audio/video streams.

I use camtasia (30 free trial download is available). I simply loop the headphone and microphone jacks for the sound.

A. Download the 30 day trial of BB Flashback Screen Recorder (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/coupon-bb-flashback-screen-video-capture-software-t13209.html)
B. We use a conference phone, so I use a usb mic to record the sound. If the sound comes over the pc speaker, I would probably split the sound from the speaker port and direct one output to the speaker and loop the other half to the microphone jack.
C. Activate the Recorder and select full screen
D. Press F10 at the end of the session and decide what format to produce the end product into.

If the computer has a built in microphone, you could test it first by trying to capture a YouTube video (http://vixy.net/).
If it doesn't have a microphone, you could
A. Buy a splitter for the audio out (http://amzn.com/mn/search/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=httphowtoma0e-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957&field-keywords=audio%20splitter&url=search-alias%3Daps).
1. Send one of the outputs to the speakers (assuming external speakers) use a male at both ends cord from the other output at a splitter to the microphone in jack.
B. Buy a USB microphone (http://www.blueyetimicrophone.net/)(preferable) or a traditional one to plug into the microphone jack.
Again, test it before that day in case you need to adjust the microphone sensativity (within Camtasia).

I'm a fan of camtasia myself but it's pretty expensive once you get past the 30 days. You can also check out some more affordable options here: Screen Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/)

Excuse me, I have a problem when using a video converter to convert the WebEx recorded WRF file. This is the converter I used http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/wrf-to-mp4.html . It claims to be able to convert WRF to MP4. But after i tried, I dragged the WRF file to the interface but it could not be recognized. How come? Could somebody give me an answer?
