We want to record Skype audio during a call and need to grab the audio in and out in some way.

We would like to output to WAV or even better use the MP3 encoders from Windows Media Player10 to directly write to MP3.

Any ideas how to do this without any extra drivers?

Thanks for that. However, we want to add this technology to our own product, not use any 3rd party apps.

Freecorder has a switch in its Settings that enables you to record Skype calls -- this essentially opens both the Mic and another port for recording. You may use this idea to develop your own software.

Pamela (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Pamela-record-Skype-phone-calls-SkypeCasts-Skype-Video-calls-Chats.htm) is another great sofware for recording from Skype.

p.s. I haven't heard about Skype protocol. You may try to do it ;)
