DVBViewer allows you to watch Digital TV on your PC. You need a DVB card and a provider of digital TV to watch it.

DVBViewer allows TCP and UDP-Multicast Network Streaming (Netstream Plugin, DVB Streamserver).

I use DVBViewer server (DVB Streamserver) to broadcast MPEG-2 streams. I can record DVB streams with DVBViewer on my server, but how can I record MPEG-2 videos on remote computers?

I tried VLC, but my Internet connection is not fast enough, so it keeps buffering all the time.

DVBViewer broadcast live MPEG-2 streams, so if your connection is not fast enough, you will not be able to record MPEG-2 stream fully no matter what software you use.

Sometimes it is better to use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/), because some streaming video recorders (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm) can stop recording in case of buffering or other connection problems.

Anyway you need better Internet connection to record live streams. Or just record alternative streams of lower quality.
