Please help!! It's a De La Soul concert from Fabchannel. I've tried using Windows Media Recorder 11, getASF, as well as Net Transport. I've been unable to capture the entire 51:13 minutes (file currupts at about 36min mark). Any suggestions would be appreciated. I can also hook up any1 who can solve this problem with other concert vids. For the WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) you will need an asx file with the following content:

Just change "somehost" above to the "xs4all".

.ASX is a simple file called metafile. Metafile redirects you to an actual stream or another metafile. It could also include other info like start and end times, source of subtitles,...

I fixed a bug in clip location (task properites/other settings/streaming/locate).

I think the file in the server perhaps was occupied.

Use 1 thread and rtsp://ds103. . /delasoul_300.wmv .
Download TWICE.
The first time is from 00:00 to 36:00, or you can start it without setting the clip time range, Nettransport will stop at 36 minute.
The second time, please start from 37:00 .


I can send you the update for NetTransport if you like to get it.

WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) may be the only recorder that can fix this problem.

If you start playing this video with Windows Media Player and move the slider to 36 minutes you'll see that the player stops at this point and reports a "Server busy" error meaning the server shut down the connection
with a 504 error. It is probably the remote server that does not allow to play the video after this time (maybe something was going on in the show, bad language, etc).

Use WM Recorder Timed Recording options under Saved URLs and set the start time at 37 minutes. The recording will be OK up to the end. Then you can merge the two recordings in one file.

Please also note that there is no URL finder I know that can find a URL of an rtmp stream (except when https:// is used instead of rtmp://).

I am also trying to download a show off FabChannel - The Slackers' show from earlier this year.

No matter what i've tried, I can't find the correct URL for the show. Can somebody please help? I have read the FAQ that was posted just above, but nothing I try seems to work.

There is no problem downloading Windows Media .wmv streaming from fabchannel. However RTMP stream recording from FabChannel (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/showthread.php?t=375) is not possible ATM.

Although you may use Proxomitron to analyze HTTPS requests coming to and from FabChannel server, this information seems to be useless so far.

Did you figure out how to download the gig?
I really want to get hold of a gig from fabchannel but cant figure out how to do it!
I have tried loads of apps!

I used Orbit Downloader (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Download-manager-Orbit-Downloader-Record-HTTP-MMS-RTSP-RTMP-media-streams-Freeware.htm) to grab the De La Soul stream. It took me 3 tries to get the whole show though. The other 2 times it didn't complete for some reason.
