Hi,

I'm looking for software that allows to record courtroom proceedings. It should be able to record multiple audio sources simultaneously and save them as separate audio channels. The recorder must be able to record into MP3 as well as lossless formats such as FLAC. Silence detection is a must have. Voice activated recording must be available on demand. Editing feature is not required, but is a strong plus.

Do a web search for "Courtroom Recording". There are a variety of hardware and software solutions available. Some are "local only", some are intended as multiple user, networked systems. Major players in software are FTR Gold, Veri-core, VIQ, and Ultra Audio. JAVS is a successful package of software and propritary hardware. This is a very demanding field.
