I ve got this little nifty memory editor that helps me extract the RTMPE stream URL s from browser memory. They were all gathered right after the commercials had finished playing back and the main content stream had started playing.

They look like this:

rtmpe://ak.securestream.channel4.com:1935/4oD/?ovpfv=1.1&auth=da_dFcXajdudBaZd7ahaAcvdTa5a_badFaV-bli1ds-eS-ezV-tykwrJl5tvrZqClF
rtmpe://ak.securestream.channel4.com/4oD/mp4:assets/CH4_08_02_16_46604006001001_002.mp4</streamUri><token>mB2I2nAhq
rtmpe://ak.securestream.channel4.com/4oD/mp4:assets/CH4_08_02_16_46604006001001_002.mp4
rtmpe://ak.securestream.channel4.com:443/4oD/?ovpfv=1.1&auth=da_dFcXajdudBaZd7ahaAcvdTa5a_badFaV-bli1ds-eS-ezV-tykwrJl5tvrZqClFo
rtmpe://ak.securestream.channel4.com:1935/4oD/?ovpfv=1.1&auth=da_dFcXajdudBaZd7ahaAcvdTa5a_badFaV-bli1ds-eS-ezV-tykwrJl5tvrZqClF
rtmpe://ak.securestream.channel4.com:1935/4oD/?ovpfv=1.1&auth=da_dFcXajdudBaZd7ahaAcvdTa5a_badFaV-bli1ds-eS-ezV-tykwrJl5tvrZqClFodr0m9kplvrflttqtGktrblCtArHpfl8pG rRnwk0k7rclssdtVk6rZl2t5rIq4lC&aifp=v0

However, they do not make any sense to me and basically I dont know what I m lookign at or how to put it to use.

Preferrably, I d like to to feed these URL s to rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) but have no clue about how the command line should look like and how to feed it the relevant values to make a successful connection and subsequent download.

Also, in case of a successful connection and download, is there a way to rip the subs too?

Please, can anyone help me interpret and put together a command line example of this?

cheers!

i cant help because its geo-locked to u.k.

can you tell us which memory editor can look for rtmpe url automatically? you also need to get the tcurl, swfurl and pageurl from the dump if you want to download using rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm).

can you tell us which memory editor...

I just did a search trhough google and came up with this editor at random basically.

Quick Memory Editor (http://www.softcows.com/memory_editor.htm)

Used it to search for various strings in the process memory of FireFox when playing back the video.

Could you give me a link or make a through explanation on how to obtain all the various parameters I have to feed rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) to get it to work properly?

cheers

Haven't tried them yet, but at least rtmpsrv supports RTMPE:
