Im using orbit downloader to download flv vids. I have been able to predict rtmp url most of the time, yet sometimes im unable to download them.

I need a program that can sniff out the rtmp url without having to see the actual video player on the page.

Is this possible?

As far as I know that's not really possible, unless the website uses a playlist that you can find in the source code of the webpage.

The RTMP url is usually revealed in the background when the flash player establishes a connection to the server. If it was that easy to get the RTMP url ,then people wouldn't be using network sniffers, like WireShark, URL Snooper, etc.
