I recently signed up to an adult website which works on a Pay per Minute basis, link to site http://theater.aebn.net/dispatcher/frontDoor?theaterId=1958
You purchase at time plan, the minimum is 15 minutes for about ?3, you can then stream a scene.
I did this in the hope that I would open a stream and close the media player once WM recorder captured the link, I did this and it worked but after capturing say 43% of a movie (my 15 minutes worth) WM recorder stops, which is to be expected I suppose as the site must stream the movie in sections, but even worse I go to my account details after WM recorder is finished and my 15 mins are used up, even though I closed the sites media player as soon as WM recorder caught the link. So they have a way of knowing how much you've gotten even though I close the sites media player after a few seconds.
You can pick from Windows Media and Real player as a streaming method.
Then I discovered if I stream more links whilst the First one is still recording I can get a little more that way, the most I can manage is about 5 scenes at the moment.
Is there any way using WM recorder where I can capture the links and recorder them and not have the site know how much I've gotten?
There is a rental and download option on the site, you can dowload to own for ?20 or rent for 3 to 7 days for about ?7, would this make it easier to download undetected?
Any help much appriciated.

Although you can capture packets from your Windows Media player or Real Player with WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) in the PRO mode, or you can remove DRM license from rented files, we strongly recommend you to purchase downloads 'coz they are available on this web-site.

Thanks for the reply SR but I'm not sure exactly what you mean. What downloads are you referring to and how will they help me to download unlimited material from the web site in question? Please forgive me if these are obvious questions but I can just use WM recorder on a basic level and am no expert. Another question, whats your recommended recording mode, Pro, Ada or URL?

I can't offer you unlimited downloads. The web-site offers official downloads and we always suggest to use them and stay on the legal site.

You can read more about the recording modes of WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) in its user guide.
In short:
URL mode is almost never used. It can be used when you know the exact URL of the stream.
ADA mode is used in most cases.
PRO mode is used to record protected streams mainly. It is a real time recording mode. In this mode WM Recorder can capture packets coming to your Windows Media player, thus it can capture almost any Windows Media stream that you can watch on your PC.

I would like to add one thing, regarding recording from password protectes sites with WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm):
First you need to capture the URL of the stream, since this is a password protected site you will want to run the program in PRO mode with AUTO ON, To set up WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) this way:
1) Close your browser and Windows Media Player
2) Run WM Recorder
3) Click the blue button under "MODE" (should read ADA)
4) In the window that pops up, check the circle next to PRO mode, and make sure that the box next to Automatic Recording is checked.
5) Click "OK"
Now, navigate to the stream and begin watching it from your browser. Now, at this point WM Recorder will attempt to record, so click the "status" button in the main window of WM Recorder. If it shows no progress being made on the recording, go ahead and follow these steps:
1) Exit the recording session by pressing "Exit Record" in the recording window.
2) Click "View" in the main window of WM Recorder.
3) Click "Menu"
4) Click "Saved Links"
5) Click "Windows Media"
6) The URL at the VERY BOTTOM of the window is the URL of the stream.
7) Right Click the URL to bring up the menu.
8) Click "Add/Change Password."
9) Enter your Username and Password, and check "Remember Password."
I know this seems complicated, but I promise it is actually quite easy. =)
Hopefully this will work, if it does not we might want to look into other software programs.

I experienced these problems with the same software as well as the same porn site. It seems as if you try to record in "ADA" mode the streaming is fine but it just doesn't record. If you try to use "PRO" mode it's pretty much vice-versa; the recording is fine but the connection always times out.
I tried everything and went down almost every avenue with rw recorder, but for the life of me I just could not get it to record a movie on thie website.
I have a solution, though, if you're still interested.
Dowload real player and stream the desired movie. The website gives you an option to record it on real player. so just click on that.
Real player has a cool option where you can record whatever it is that's currecntly playing/streaming on the player. So you can record as you're watching.
You have to use the real player to test your intenet connection in order to determine which is the ideal speed for streaming for your computer.
There is one drawback, though. Once the recording is concluded the real player automatically saves the vildeo file in .ivr format. Which is a real format. Unfortunately it doesn't seem as if there are any programs out there that can convert a .ivr file to another format.
But if you can live with a .ivr video fine then go for real player.
With real player you can burn the .ivr file to CD/DVD.
I just thought that I would put that out there just in case you are still - or anyone else - experiencing this problem.

You can also use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) to record anything from your screen.
