I've started having lots of problems with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) recently. It was freezing my web-browsers and slowing down my PC. It affected my Internet Explorer, Firefox and even Opera web-browsers and that was really strange. In most cases the freezing was happening after trying to use some other recording software with Replay Media Catcher simultaneously. I couldn't do anything about it and only rebooting was helping to get everything to normal condition.

Apparently my problem was caused by Adobe Flash Player 10. I uninstalled it and downloaded Adobe Flash Player 9 from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

After rebooting Replay Media Catcher works like a charm. I can even use several stream recorders with it simultaneously. No more freezing browsers, no more problems with other applications!

p.s. The problem was solved thanks to the zanefan from applian forums

Newer solutions:

Use Opera web-browser instead of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome
Shut down the following applications when using RMC:

Ad-Muncher
LiveMesh
CounterSpy
SpySweeper
ZoneAlarm
CA Anti-Spyware Utility
Comodo
Vista Transformation Pack
Net Nanny
Threatfire
Trusteer Rapport
PCTools
Avast

If you have any of these or a similar app running on your computer, try shutting them down while Media Catcher is running. If it is not one of the known apps this can be difficult to pinpoint.

Clear Temporary Internet Files...
If your hyberfil.sys is becoming massive, turn off hybernation:
Open command prompt, type "powercfg.exe -h off". Then reboot.
Install the latest updates if you use Windows 7.
