Please help me. I don't know how to record this video:

(My Shot With... Serj Tankian)

I know how to use youripper, it's so cool... And I also have WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm), also Replay AV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-AV-capture-Streaming-Video-Audio-Radio-Shows-Online-TV-Broadcasts-Video-Clips-Audio-Archives-Podcasts-Free-to-try.htm), but none of these works. I tried bunch of freeware programs but with no luck yet. Thank you for your help, please recommend me some good program, the best some free one.

You should definitely have your shot!

When I saw an ADOBE FLASH plug-in, I decided to try REPLAY MEDIA CATCHER (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) first. But it appeared to be an HTTP .FLV FLASH video stream. Such streams can usually be downloaded with any download manager and even with your web-browser.

So I tried WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) and Replay AV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-AV-capture-Streaming-Video-Audio-Radio-Shows-Online-TV-Broadcasts-Video-Clips-Audio-Archives-Podcasts-Free-to-try.htm), but they didn't work with the stream.

Then I got the stream URL from the Replay Media Catcher and tried to record with the following DOWNLOAD MANAGERs: NetTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm), HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) and freeware Orbit Downloader (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Download-manager-Orbit-Downloader-Record-HTTP-MMS-RTSP-RTMP-media-streams-Freeware.htm). All of them WORKED!

Interestingly enough, when I started downloading with the above mentioned download managers, WM Recorder and Replay AV got the stream URL successfully, so I managed to RECORD with them without any problem.

Stream recorders like WM Recorder and Replay AV can have problem recording, if you start PLAYING a stream BEFORE starting RECORDING it with your stream recorder.

I wanted to try to record with WM Recorder and Replay AV again, but I get some COUNTRY BLOCK message when playing any stream from mtvu.com . So make sure to PAUSE your STREAM in the embedded flash player after getting stream URL and before recording from it.

p.s.
You can use a free demo version of Replay Media Catcher to FIND http:// stream URLs. And you can also use freeware URL Finder (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/) software called URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) to find http://, rtsp://, mms:// and pnm:// stream URLs.

Thank you. Actually, it wasn't me on the shot but I really like the show.

I used Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-download-and-capture-streaming-music-radio-video.htm), it records only 75 % in demo mode, but there was a little trick: I run also WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) simultaneously and while Replay Media Catcher recorded only 75 %, WM Recorder started recording and recorded whole file.

But please, could you answer my further questions? How can I get the stream URL from the Replay Media Catcher or from URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) and how can I use this URL to download video using download managers? And can I somehow copy and paste this URL to WM Recorder or Replay AV if those progras can't get the URL themselves?

Getting http:// URLs from Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm):

Right click on the item in the list of files
Click "Properties"
Select and copy a URL to the clipboard

You know how stream URLs from mtvu look like, so it is easy to filter the one you need with URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm). Just use the "Keyword Filter" edit box.

After copying the URL you can create a new download in any download manager and paste the URL. You can also use WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) in the URL mode or Replay AV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-AV-capture-Streaming-Video-Audio-Radio-Shows-Online-TV-Broadcasts-Video-Clips-Audio-Archives-Podcasts-Free-to-try.htm).

I'm not sure whether Replay AV and WM Recorder can get URL of theses streams properly, 'coz I can't play any content on this web-site anymore.

WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) 12 worked just fine for me. Open the WM Recorder before you click on your file URL. That was without using any other URL program like URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm).

I hope that helps.

I just received the reply from Applian. Their Replay AV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-AV-capture-Streaming-Video-Audio-Radio-Shows-Online-TV-Broadcasts-Video-Clips-Audio-Archives-Podcasts-Free-to-try.htm) works fine with the stream.
