RTSP QuickTime stream recording software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-quick-time.htm)

I tried these programs
HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) catch the audio without video
VLC player (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-windows-media-and-real-video.htm#VLC) can not catch both
MovRecorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-quick-time.htm#MovRecorder) : this program is good but the problem that my connection to internet is not so quick therefore it can not record the complete movie

Please , help me to get these movies

The problem is that RTSP .MOV streams are not very popular, so developers of other stream recorders do try to support such streaming videos. May be NetTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm) will be able to download rtsp:// mov streams in the future.

Right now besides above mentioned programs I can only suggest screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/).

ive tried Jaksta (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Jaksta-Streaming-Media%20Recorder-and-Converter.htm), HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) , and Metaproducts. They all download "something" but it is not playable. Only garbage. Junk. Rubbish. Dreck.

you know.
Trash.

i think RTSP://*.MOV is still an open problem, unsolved.

Well known problem. Still can't suggest anything but HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm), MovRecorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-quick-time.htm#MovRecorder) and VLC.

Why does not fit VLC?
It can record these videos. No problem.

i cant find any SR thread on recording videos (e.g. RTSP://*.MOV) with VLC. is there any tutorial with screenshots and a hands-on example?

thanks for the good news so far.

Thanks chap, i am trying this too. I get some VLC error (and i cant find the vlc error log) -- VLC cant play/stream the video, although i have full Quicktime player installed and QT player can play it in very nice quality. Much better than Media Player Classic (or QuickTime Alternative). i've tested everything on 2 systems.

Thanks again for the great video tutorial. I was doing it pretty much the same way and always got the error ("cant stream the video") so i was beginning to wonder how VLC records videos.

I have Quicktime (full install.) and VLC (full install.). QT plays ti, VLC doesnt. strange.
