When I record live streaming video from Justin TV and try to watch them later with FLV Player, I can't skip around on the file. The player says "unknown duration" and when I click info it says: "Can Seek to End? No".

This is pretty annoying since I am recording Japanese Baseball games that are three hours long and I would love to skip commercials and other superfluous stuff.

Is there a workaround that I am just missing? Perhaps a better FLV player?

Any help would be appreciated.

Live streaming videos, by nature, do not have timecode metadata encoded into the flv.

Sometimes, SMPlayer (http://smplayer.berlios.de/) can seek/skip flv files that don't have flv metadata

Or, you can try injecting timecode metadata into the saved flv file by using a FLV MetaData Injector such as FLVMDI/FLVMDIGUI (http://www.buraks.com/flvmdi/)

However, FLVMDI/FLVMDIGUI is limited to file sizes of less than 700mb, and also sometimes will not work if the stream wasn't saved perfectly (absent any interruptions or hiccups in the video/audio)
