Unfortuanately I get country_blocked_5sec.flv due to the country restriction.

They use adobe flash player so you should try Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm).

However an opener videos stream was an mms:// .wmv and the best program get the Windows Media streams is WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm).

Both programs are free to try so you may test them for free to research the streams. After that you may use some other media stream recorders (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm) (especially if you like free software only)

I got exactly the same issue: music videos are inaccessible due to the country restriction. Could someone post few this VH1 VSPOT full urls to check for reconstruction it manually?

Can you play other videos from that site? Most (if not all) videos from that site can only be played in the United States. Posting the urls wouldn't work as they use timestamps. I've figured out a workaround but...
yes, can no play videos due country restriction has been set by Vh1 vspot. This is stupid, however (plus these videos are very old). Just want check direct url to videos, does it possible reconstruct url or not. I tried access videos via cgi proxy, but this not work for me.

As Kron said, timestamped URLs are used, so you can't reconstruct them.

You may try to use proxy servers. It is always tough to find a good working one.

I think I've found a way to generate "fresh" URLs to that video using cgi proxies. You can get in the FLV format or as a WMV file with DRM protection that, unless it is removed, lets you play it up to 15 times.

Well, workaround is simple - just use VH1/ MTV UK mirrors -www.mtv.co.uk/channel/vh1. There is another problem with flash videos: it is extremelly poor quality: the video is blurry, not sharp, the image is broken into fragments at movement. Such poor quality is unacceptable, nobody need such 'videos'.. so the flash recording program becomes useless.. For example, I use WMV videos recorded from stream, with bitrate quality 1800kbps and format 720 x 576 or 640 x 480 - this is real quality. Canno even compare brilliant WMV videos with this flash garbage "videos".

no sure how the DRM removal software is related to flash videos, though.
VH1/MTV provide flash videos only. It seems, in the past they have wmv videos, but also very low quality: bitrate max near 400kbps and small size.. Even dont know who like watch this stuff..

The video stream Kron posted about is 416 x 312 and 696 kbsp. Not very good quality.

And I haven't seen any DRM protection for flash videos.

I think the best video clips is DVD rip (except some rare wmv streaming videos).
