Hello,

Lately I'm having problems downloading/recording live streams from ustream using the latest build of Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) Earlier finished videos are choppy and without sound, and with very low fps (according to jaksta); and just a while ago, when I was trying to test it again, downloads were suddenly being ended even though the stream was still live.

Any thoughts/suggestions regarding this issue?

Hey there

Specifically, Can you please provide me with the URL of the audio or video you're trying to record, so I can trouble shoot the issue?

I've been trying to download live streams from this page, but it seems that his stream is offline: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/shirumamire

> Usually has no sound when recorded-- Seems that he streams without sound? (unsure) Maybe the reason why the fps is slow is because of that?

Others that I tested using Jaksta/RMC: (Live at the moment)
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/armando-the-amigo
http://www.ustream.tv/earthcam

Both when recorded yielded same results, choppy audio, and very slow fps/choppy video, suddenly completes/connection cuts even though stream is still live.

Settings in Jaksta/RMC are in default. Tried to tinker with settings but same thing happened.

Do you have noticed at audio information of earthcam channel? Audio is Mono and only 16KHz.
Channel(s) : 1 channel
Channel positions : Front: C
Sampling rate : 16.0 KHz

If your internet connection is under 2Mbps, you can't record it constantly because of the bitrate and res:
Overall bit rate : 2 753 Kbps
Width : 800.000
Height : 450.000

if is upper, you have to use rtmpdump(because have no problem) instead of RMC till its fixing bug!!
rtmpdump -r "rtmp://flash90.ustream.tv/ustreamVideo/10046365" -a "ustreamVideo/10046365" -f "WIN 11,1,102,55" -W "http://static-cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/live/viewer.rsl:85.swf" -p "http://www.ustream.tv/earthcam" -y "streams/live_1" --live -o earthcam.flv

Gosh, if that is true then my net is part to blame for these choppy recordings? T_T.

Since this guy streams HD >>>> http://www.ustream.tv/shirumamire

So in the end I have to use rtmpdump eh? :))

occurs every 2 -5 minutes - no connection, then again you are connecting,
so you can not record video( using Jaksta/RMC).

I guess that clarifies our problem regarding that stream :)
