Coud you explain me how to play Justin TV with rtmpdump? I never managed to play it directly with rtmpdump.

The script wasn't working for me. I had to modify line 21 like this:

Channel=`echo $ChannelUrl | awk -F "/" '{print $4}' | sed 's/#//g'`

it's to get rid of the "#" character in the channelurl when it goes to fetch the XML file to get all the needed data. I guess not all the channel URLs have the "#" in them, if they do then you need to get rid of it.

BTW, thanks very much for this solution. I just saw another page (http://jangeldmacher.wordpress.com/2011/12/15/watch-justin-tv-on-vlc-player/) about Justin.tv but it was a completely manual solution. Yours is much slicker!

complete LIVE ppv channels like mlg still don't work at all, others channels like nasl only offer up to 480p for free but still using this programe we can still watch at 1080p just not the completely closed up channels like mlg arena.. the vods are fine btw

I just wanted to give an update but it may already be known.

On the script that is batch file only, I think V1 you can easily view access code protected channels as well.

All that needs changed is the following URL:

http://usher.justin.tv/find/%channel%.xml?type=live

to be

http://usher.justin.tv/find/%channel%.xml?type=live&private_code=

then just coded in asking the user for pass if needed.

Justin.tv also seems to accept it blank for a public channel so you don't need to 2 URLs whether passed or not.
