My tests of Orbit Downloader (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Download-manager-Orbit-Downloader-Record-HTTP-MMS-RTSP-RTMP-media-streams-Freeware.htm) v2.1.6:

1. Didn't record any RTSP Windows Media streams.
2. Didn't fully record HTTP .FLV stream.
3. Didn't record PNM real stream (they claim this protocol is supported, but it is not).
4. Did record MMS windows media video (that is the easiest thing). However the .ASF video wasn't indexed. Also it had some glitches, but it wasn't really a big problem.
5. Didn't capture any video/audio links from my Firefox 1.5. However it did work properly with my I.E. 6.
6. To my great surprise it has successfully recorded an RTMP flash video stream.
7. It can record from social music services, but I prefer programs like Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) and Replay Music (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-audio-stream/Replay-Music-record-any-web-radio-station-or-streaming-music-service.htm) 'coz they can record music from these services automatically solitting and tagging songs.

Bottom line: I've got mixed feeling about this software. Its developers claim a lot of features. And hopefully they will implement them on a good level. So far are lucky to have another free software.
