Hello, I hope this is in the correct sub forum.

I'm a 16 year old student and when I get breaks from school, I usually spend my time watching episodes of my favourite TV shows online. I have been experiencing this problem since ages but often just let it go. This time, however, I'm determined to figure it out.

Now, this is what happens.

I find a website which has the episodes of an entire season on them and start watching. The episodes work perfectly. But when I leave, after watching a few episodes, and then come back a few hours later, the rest of the episodes won't work for me. You know when a video is loading, a different coloured line appears in the seeking area? The video, after buffering, appears to have loaded fully, but it hasn't. And when I try to play it, it works for a couple of seconds then just freezes.

This happens to me on ALL websites which host videos, except YouTube. Is it a Adobe Flash Player problem, or what? I have been experiencing this for ages and it's highly frustrating.

I've tried everything, from restarting / shutting down my laptop to clearing the Internet history files and cookies, nothing works.

I have never watched online videos for several hours running in succession... You can probably try to download your online videos before watching them.

I don't really know what else to suggest. May be you can try to increase the size of the cache of your browser.

What kind of web-browser and OS do you have?

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 and am using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

Yeah, I posted the problem and several sites and didn't get any good solutions so I decided to start downloading my shows. Takes a while and the torrents suck up all my Internet speed, but yeah.

Still, I'm determined to know what the problem is. Others watch online videos all the time, I don't hear them complaining.
