I have a strange problem, NetXFer (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm) (formerly net transport) doesn't work at all, I am behind an NAT firewall, all downloads I drag and drop to the download window, or type manually just time out, I am on winxp sp2 and have allowed "Net transport download manager" and "upnp" with the firewall but I cannot download anything, even jpg files, I can clearly see and download from the browser, any help will be appreciated.

I don' really know how this problem can be related to NAT.

Does your firewall on your PC allow Internet connections for NetXFer (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm)?

As stated netxfer i.e "net transport download manager" and upnp are allowed access to the net according to the firewall.

However I cannot download anything whatsoever, it just timeouts, it resolves the ip addresses of whatever it is I am about to download i.e "downloading from 67.65.7.8" but that is as far as it gets, just timeouts everytime

Please try freeware Orbit Downloader (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Download-manager-Orbit-Downloader-Record-HTTP-MMS-RTSP-RTMP-media-streams-Freeware.htm) and see whether you will have the same problem with it or not.
