Hi, I'm having trouble saving a .mov stream. I keep getting 'invalid url' with Mov Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-quick-time.htm#MovRecorder) and with HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) , it seems to download 1mb sometimes and 3mb sometimes and the video doesnt play properly.

Here's the stream:

Actually there is no reliable QT rtsp stream recorder at the moment. Neither HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) nor MovRecorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-quick-time.htm#MovRecorder) is perfect. And I have never managed to dump such streams with VLC player (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-windows-media-and-real-video.htm#VLC) and MPlayer (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-windows-media-and-real-video.htm#MPlayer).

It seems like screen video capture program (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/screen-capture-software.htm) is the only option.

i was able to save this stream using mencoder (svn version)

mencoder -rtsp-stream-over-tcp -oac pcm -ovc lavc -ffourcc XVID -o done.avi rtsp://qt.interoute.com:80/mediamanager/%7B27a6992f-1297-42e3-be24-e38610c4f975%7D/%7Bd4b4b4f8-5fcc-4811-ba8d-f3a1736da74d%7D/1Insert_3_The_Butterfly.mov

is the line i used, it will reencode the video to mpeg4 and audio to wav.

i reccomend the rtm mencoder svn at this site:

i've also heard its possible to run

mplayer -dumpfile video.h264 -dumpvideo rtsp://qt.interoute.com:80/mediamanager/%7B27a6992f-1297-42e3-be24-e38610c4f975%7D/%7Bd4b4b4f8-5fcc-4811-ba8d-f3a1736da74d%7D/1Insert_3_The_Butterfly.mov

and

mplayer -dumpfile audio.aac -dumpaudio rtsp://qt.interoute.com:80/mediamanager/%7B27a6992f-1297-42e3-be24-e38610c4f975%7D/%7Bd4b4b4f8-5fcc-4811-ba8d-f3a1736da74d%7D/1Insert_3_The_Butterfly.mov

and then combine/remux these back into an mp4 with mp4box
