After having successfully applied the fix re: WMP 10 and FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm)-Fix 1, I now get Windows update alerts regarding security updates for WMP 10 and the Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5 and 11. Should I install these updates or will they mess up the fix? I know that it was mentioned that we should not update WMP 10, does that include these aforementioned alerts?

You should disable automatic Windows Updates and avoid any updates related to Windows Media Player and Windows Media Format Runtime to keep FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm) working.
