Hello, I’m having loads of trouble with Mirakagi and FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm). I’ve been trying to unDRM demo files from ezdrm.com and receive this error when running Mirakagi:

Mirakagi starts, code version 0.9
Found 0 keys in keyring.
—————–
Processing “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\cache\Indiv01.key”
Version: 11.0.6000.6324 …

DLL 1000/101acc @ ac01000 && 103000/2d494 @ ad03000
Cannot locate encrypted code chunks.
It is finished.

I have read through this forum along with many others but I don’t see any example that relates to my situation. I really would like some help!
Thank you for your time,
Windows XP
WMP version 11.0.5705.5043

and one more similar request

Reinvidualized my system got IBX 6324 down. No matter where i tried still 11.0.6000.6324. Now i wouldn't mind this but drmdbg doesn't work, FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm) doesn't work and i am effectively screwed.

now whats the deal? are MS playing games or just a temp blip?

I have the same error. Out of curiosity, are you using Rhapsody as your online service? I've searched around and I think that's the key link for those with this problem.

I am also having the same error message when trying to use Mirakagi. I am trying to use it on DRM-encrypted WMV files that I have a license for. Not using Rhapsody at all.

Any ideas out there?

Have searched extensively on various fora but no answers

Hi to all :)

Same problem here, but i am able to remove drm from WMV files to watch them on my TV, with the help of VMWare, my Win XP SP2 CD, and FairUse4WM-Fix-2 (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm#fu4m13fix2).
All others utils are not functionning : Mirakagi, drmdbg, because WMP9 from XPSP2 perhaps.

WMP 9 shouldn't be upgraded to have IBX 11.0.6000.6324 on individualization!

Install VMWare server,
Create new Virtual machine, network from NAT through Host,
Install XPSP2,
Disable all upgrades,
Share a directory from Virtual XP,
Put WMV file on it, with FairUse4WM-fix-2,
Watch 10 sec of a licensed WMV file (WMP 9 will individualize, and acquires the license),
Close WMP9,
Launch FairUse4WM-fix-2,
Recover keys, follow the instructions (just watch a Licensed WMV file-you must have the license)
You're ready to remove DRM from your legally owned WMV files.
Something i don't understand : my WMV files provider says that i *must* use WMP11 to watch, but WMP9 handles it without any problem...

I have to find something to convert WMV to AVI now, my DVD player doesn't read WMV...argh.

I know you know this method, nothing new here, just wanted to say that this is always functionning.

(sorry for my english :/)

How can this be possible as everytime you 'play' a drm protected file on WMP11 you are told that you MUST upgrade to gain access. Once you have gained access to play the file [and obtain keys], the mirakagi NO LONGER works! If you attempt to downgrade the WMP as soon as you play the drm file again, you are immediately directed to upgrade once more or the file will not play!

the black box is: 11.0.6000.6324.
WMP is: 11.0.5721.5145

this process is the same even if you try it through a virtual PC and it would appear that I'm only aloud to install my current XP-SP2 operating system on the virtual PC as anything else just freezes!

What am I doing wrong please? What is the solution? Fairuse worked fine until last week when I had to reinstall the O/S. Now it's "no go!"...
answers here please....

Some content providers force you to upgrade your WMP. There is nothing you can do about it.

I duno whether WMP11 forces you to upgrade or not. But you can see people using WMP9 with IBX 11.0.6000.6324.

If your IBX is not supported, you can wait until the newest version of lossless DRM removal software (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/) starts supporting it. Or you can use a clean system and allow selective updates only (avoiding the ones that ugrade IBX). Alternatively you can use lossy DRM removal tools.

Am I missing something here please?
Everytime I acquire digital rights/permisson 'keys' through WMP it automatically triggers a mandatory WMP upgrade that simultaneously renders Mirakagi useless and therefore I cannot recover the keys with Fairuse! Please elaborate on your solution as I'm obviously not getting it - many thanx!
Does WMP9 come with XP-SP2?
you don't use Mirakagi?

Hello Stream Recorder, I had fairuse installed on my original 80gb harddrive but then upgraded to a 200 gb, and am trying to install this but coming across some problems i dont remember encountering the first time. I've read through a ton of forums to relating to this.

When I click recover keys it comes up with this.

Extraction in progress on "Indiv01.key" 11.0.6000.6324 -- Please wait.

When I try the mirakagi it says...

Hey everyone, thanks in advamce for th help.

Well I followed the instructions on Rorta to download Netflix (http://all-streaming-media.com/links/netflix.htm) movies.
And I can successfully play them but can't get the licenses out to unDRM it.

I followed these two steps exactly:

14. Back already? Well OK, assuming the file has finished downloading, time to exorcise the Micro$oft DRM demon. Go to the directory that the file was saved to (if you didn’t enter a custom path it will be saved to the location you were at in your command prompt when you entered the commands). This part is a wee bit tricky and might take you a couple tries to get it down pat. Open the data.wmv file in WMP, and you should see the same alert you saw back in step 4. This time click YES to connect to the Netflix site and acquire the license. (In Internet Explorer 7, you might get a security warning about an ActiveX control, click on the security bar and select ‘allow ActiveX controls…’).

15. Immediately after you click Yes and are presented with a ‘media usage rights acquisition’ dialogue, launch mirakagi and click ‘Start’ as soon as you see the ‘Play’ button become active (in other words clickable or not grayed out) in the rights acquisition dialogue in WMP. Mirakagi should then tell you that it has found a couple keys and that it's done processing.

Please see file version information and Mirakagi log below.

Thanks again, Kenny

I have the following setup:
WMP 11.0.5721.5230
IBX 11.0.6000.6324
FairUse4WM 1.3 Fix-2
Mirakagi 0.9

When i open fairuse and hit recover keys i get "IBX Version 11.0.6000.6324 isn't supported yet." or some other times i get something like code encryptions not made or something along those lines. How can i bypass this or when will 6324 be supported.

I have IBX 11.0.6000.6324 and I get the following error when running mirakagi:
Cannot locate encrypted code chunks

Any ideas how to get around this?

Yep, fought this for a while, no posts I found helped much except to point me in the right direction to the friggin' DRM files that are killing me. This might not be the best or cleanest solution but it worked for me.

1. uninstall wmp 11 (control panel, add/remove programs, windows components)
2. uninstall wmp 11 runtime (control panel, add/remove programs)
3. uninstall Microsoft User-Mode Driver Frameworks (control panel, add/remove programs). if the Wudf01000 confirmation box appears click OK and continue
4. Open a command window. Click Start-->Run enter cmd and hit enter.
5. change directories: cd \doc*\all* <--puts you in \Documents and Settings\All Users
6. remove unwanted attributes from the DRM directory: attrib -s -h DRM
7. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to \Documents and Settings\All Users and then delete the DRM directory
8. go to microsoft.com/download and get wmp 10
9. install wmp 10
10. download a song from your service that has the DRM license. Play it. I downloaded one from Napster. This should reindividualize the DRM keys for you. You will now be using IBX 11.0.5497.6285.

If you find a problem after this, the other thing I did that I don't think I really needed to do was run a drm reset program. The one I got was available at Napster. Search support for "reset drm" or the filename dr1009.exe. I ran this between steps 9 and 10.

After all this I can use fairuse4wm as before with no issues.

Oh if you need this to work with wmp 11, I haven't reinstalled to test. I know fairuse4wm worked with my wmp 11 version before. I suspect when I bought my mp3 player and was loading drivers, the best buy program which runs rhapsody updated my IBX. Can't say for sure though and since Napster works with wmp 10 and it's all I need now I'll probably leave it at that.

Doesn't work for me. WMP 10 wants me to update, otherwise it won't play the DRMed song.
When I update, FU4WM requires a different private key. But mirakagi no longer tells me about IBX 11.0.6000.6324.

Netflix (http://all-streaming-media.com/links/netflix.htm) movies requires IBX 11.0.6000.6324. I downgrade to an older version of WMP and obtained an older version of the IBX, but get the must upgrade message when playing Netflix movies. If I don't upgrade, the movie can't be played, and the licenses do not downloaded for FairUse to crack. There's no way around this, none of the solutions posted on here work for files requiring the newest IBX. The solutions have been a total waste of time. The solutions may work for files that don't require the newest IBX but if the file requires the newest IBX to play, there's no way to circumvent it.

I believe DRM cracking has finally been conquerored. As soon as IBX 11.0.6000.6324 is supported, Netflix will just change content to a newer IBX version and render FairUse useless again. Netflix can make updates faster then crackers can update FairUse to support them. My advice is to download as many Netflix movies now, which require IBX 11.0.6000.6324 and wait untill FairUse supports it. Then crack all those download movies then because if you download them after FairUse supports IBX 11.0.6000.6324, they'll require a newer version and it won't work.

It's unfortunate there's not a console DVD player, that could support DRM content and download the licenses. That's all I want to do is. I want to watch the movies on my TV not on my computer. It's not like I want to distribute copies of these movies.

Bladewalker: Let the FairUse4WM use the license instead of Windows Media Player - by acquiring but not playing the file.

1. Set your media player to ALWAYS PROMPT before acquiring a license. You should have this as your common setting anyway, because it will save you from folks using the DRM URL to deliver I.E. exploits.
In WMP 10:
1. Click "Tools"->"Options..." and select the "Privacy" tab.
2. In the "Enhanced playback and device experience" group uncheck "Acquire licenses automatically for protected content".
2. Open the file in the Windows Media Player and acquire the license, but DON'T click the Play button!

3. While the dialog is open you should be able to use FairUse4WM on that file. You can also exit your Windows Media Player (Click the Close button) and collect licenses for multiple files.
