hello,
i downloaded mov recorder 1.3, but i can't understand how to make it work (i can't understand anything from their site).
my player is quicktime alternative (the latest version).

what i try to capture is found on this site:

i started viewing the movie, pressed on saving as source/quicktime movie, and all i got is a tiny mov file.
when i opened this file with the notepad, i get this address:
mdatrtsp://141.214.51.110/antneck624.mov

by the way, regarding the mov reocorder 1.3, in the adapter options i choose my wireless network card (which communicates with my router), and Promiscuous mode.
should i choose something else?

is there another way to capture this movie???

Only two media stream recorders (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/all-streaming-video-recording-software.htm) can capture RTSP:// .MOV streams: HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-capturing-streaming-video-and-audio-downloading-movie-streams-record-Internet-radio.htm) and MovRecorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-quick-time.htm#MovRecorder).

You may also try to dump video stream to hard disk with VLC player (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-windows-media-and-real-video.htm#VLC) or MPlayer, but actually both players don't really work well for me.

Another way to capture stream is by capturing screen activity with screen video capture program (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/screen-capture-software.htm). Of course the latter software is worse than stream recorders, but it helps a lot with non-recordable streams.

I've tried HiDownload, MovRecorder and VLC and none of them worked well with rtsp://141.214.51.110/antneck624.mov.

MovRecorder doesn't work with my QT Alternative so may be it is better to try Apple's QT Player with it.

p.s. Anyway I suggest you to try all above mentioned programs.

i do have mov recorder. how do i operate it?

Your MovRecorder settings seemed to be OK. Just click the record button (it looks like Play) and everything should be recorded. But try QuickTime instead of QuickTime Alternative.

I'v uninstalled my quicktime alternative, and installed the latest quicktime, but it's still not working. actually when i configure it the way i mentioned above, it gives me a warning: adapter may not match this filter mode.

is hiDownload better? it's from the same company as i understand..

what should I do? I really need those films offline...
could you try to save them yourself? to make sure it's a problem with me?

I can't say that HiDownload is better for rtsp:// .mov streams than MovRecorder, it is just different.

Both programs as well as VLC don't work for me.

Please contact webmaster@streamingstar.com so that they may try to improve their software. So far the only choice I see for this stream is screen capture software.
