OK, so i did my research here and found out that I might have better luck if I let a cam stream that I am capturing to finish completely before stopping the video... the only problem is, Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) (RMC) continues to "download" the video long after it stops streaming. No new data is being added, and I left some of these on for an hour, with the cam open in a tab so I could tell when the live stream stopped. Is there any way to get the stream rip to stop recording so I can actually get a complete file? Some of the incomplete ones work, some dont.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You would need to right click and stop and save. What happens with the files that "don't work"?

I get the error message that says "file was unable to finish, but was saved anyway." Sometimes they'll play, and sometimes they won't. Sometimes they are way too sped up, sometimes not. Pretty much no different than any other user who's posts I've read around here... I was just hoping there was something no one had thought of that might fix it. Sigh.

Open Media Catcher
Click on tools - settings
Make sure Capture Flash RTMP streams is highlighted
Click Plug-in options
The second box is the FLV timestamp increment, you may need to play with this a little, but usually set it around 500 for live streams. That should fix the fast forward issue. Media Catcher is not the best program for live streams.
