Hi guys,
I tried with:
- RTMPDumpHelper
- rtmpExplorer
- rtmpsuck
- rtmpdump cmd
- jaksta (win and mac)
- getflv
- other gui programs
and non of it worked to capture stream on this website: http://live.qbsf.qa/en/qbsf
username and password: maxstream
Can you help me?
PS. sometimes stream will be offline
I can download the pre-recorded streams using RTMPDumpHelper but I have not been able to record the live stream.
Fiddler proxy tool did show this in the JSON from http://live.qbsf.qa/en/api/page/28
description=Table 1

has_video=True

I could not open the m3u8 playlist though, sorry. Hopefully the experts on this forum will take a look.
Update... I've just used RTMPDumpHelper to capture the live stream with no problems! I only had to rename the downloaded file with a .flv extension and it played fine. Not sure why you had problems with it.
Hey Moet,
Thanks so much for helping me on this. I may have additional questions on private messages, expect one from me shortly.
Once again, thanks so much!
Hi Buda, here are detailed instructions as requested in PM.
1) Open RTMPDumpHelper
http://s12.postimg.org/z15mldep9/1_Capture.png (http://postimage.org/) image upload no resize (http://postimage.org/)
2) In RTMPDumpHelper "options" make sure you choose rtmpSuck (NOT rtmpserv) - Also, choose your desktop to dowload the file to (makes it easier)
http://s14.postimg.org/w8glp3ggx/2_Capture.png (http://postimage.org/) free jpeg images (http://postimage.org/)
http://s16.postimg.org/gzvl3ync5/3_Capture.png (http://postimage.org/) screen capture (http://postimage.org/app.php)
3) Open Internet Explorer (not Firefox) and login to http://live.qbsf.qa/en/qbsf - if there is a livestream playing RTMPDumpHelper should show activity and you should see a file on your desktop with no icon (for the livestream this file should start with the letters "bca")
4) When the stream is finished you will need to change the downloaded file to some name that ends with .flv (i.e. match.flv)
5) You can no play this using VLC Media Player
http://s15.postimg.org/5eq58exsr/4_Capture.png (http://postimage.org/) images (http://postimage.org/)
That's it! - for the matches already played you will need to do exactly the same thing... go to the page and click on play for the one you want. RTMPDumpHelper will probably create two files.... one very short (a few seconds of live play) and the other the pre-recorded match.
Good luck.
"5) You can no play this using VLC Media Player"
I should have said "you can now play this using VLC Media Player". Sorry.
Hey Moet,
Thanks for detailed introductions and for notifying me on PM to check this thread.
The problem I'm having is that rtmpsuck is not recognizing the stream, it's acting like I never started the stream. Here's the screenshot:
http://s23.postimg.org/775uwhw23/Screenshot_4.png
I tried various combinations in last few hours:
run RTMPDumpHelper and than play the stream
play stream, than run RTMPDumpHelper and than refresh the page
with firefox and maxthon browsers
with RTMPExploreX (can't open/play stream with it)
with rtmpsuck v2.4
with Web Stream Recorder (I used direct rtmpe URL rtmpe://qbsf.BA.cdn.switlive.com:1935/live/bca56e973911e540c4f03841a2148032)
Unfortunately, I'm having issues with IE so I can't try with IE.
I'll continue trying and experimenting. Could you please notify me if you find the solution to my problem? Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

did you disable flash?
Buda, if for any reason you can not get biezom's method above to work for you then you could try using rtmpdump v 2.4 (I see you have v2.5) you can get it from:
http://www.videohelp.com/download/rtmpdump-2.4-2013-12-22.zip?r=dfsPnxxsp
Delete (or move) v2.5 from the RTMPDumpHelper folder and replace it with 2.4 - That's the only other thing I can think of. I tried using Google Chrome browser but RTMPDumpHelper failed to attach to the browser.
Hey biezom,
Your contribution is incredible! I didn't know about this method before.
I just tried it and it's working... at least for few minutes :)

I have one question for @HatteWare and everyone else that tried downloading this stream. Using superb biezom's method did you manage to download stream without problems? So I can know is this happening only to me so I can try to fix it.
Once again, thanks biezom and Moet, your tutorials are incredible and they helped me a lot, this is really great community!
Edit: @Moet - great, thank you for that, I'll definitely try it. I tried with v2.4 before but couldn't get Chrome to attach to browser (same as you), however, with v2.5 I managed to attach Chrome.
Edit2: Guys, I think this interruption happened to me because I tried to download two streams at the same time (different cmd window). It looks like it's working perfectly now. I downloaded 22MB so far...
Buda, I'm genuinely pleased for you. I know how frustrating it can be to get some of this stuff working. Happy watching!
