Hi,

I am trying to download .rm film under rtsp:// with HiDownload (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/HiDownload-download-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-Flash-FLV-Shoutcast-MP3-audio-streaming-and-save-to-hd.htm) . I don't know why Hidownload can only download part of the whole video.

For Example, the video is 50 minutes, the downloaded .rm file is perfectly playable, but is only 30 minutes.

I am trying to download a list of files in the series, some can be downloaded completely, some only got 10 minutes less, some even only last for 3 minutes!!

Any expert here, know why this happen and how I can solve it?

I have another problem when I was using "flashget" to download the same series of files.

All the files can be downloaded completely, but the download is not continuous. For example, when I download a file with only 1 thread, the download continues for 2 minutes, then data download rate drop to 0 for like 3 minutes, then suddenly download rate goes back to normal, then suddenly download rate drop to 0 again. This pattern goes on for the whole download and it happens on every file.

Many thanks for all your help!

I don't really see many Real Media streams anymore. In my previous tests I had lots of problems downloading rtsp:// .rm video lectures. The most reliable download manager for Real Media streams for me was NetXFer (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/NetXFer-Saving-Windows-Media-Real-Audio-Video-QT-streaming-to-hd.htm). It wasn't ideal. It didn't show any errors, but some files were not downloaded completely, so I was forced to re-download them.

I have just tried to "enforce" the start and end time in Hidownload, but it still stop itself without downloading the whole piece....
