Hi I hooked up a 4 channel network DVR that my father gave me (does not have a name on it) it simply says 4 CHANNEL NETWORK DVR.
I dont have a manual, but I installed everything correctly and the DVR and VIDEO WEB SERVER 5 software works great with one exception.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to toggle to change the date/time.
I can get into SYSTEM by pressing MENU then Scrolling down to the DATE and hitting enter.
Then I can scroll over the date/day/day of week etc... - however I cannot toggle to change the date/year/day etc. I hit every fricking key nothing toggles it.
Can someone help me or is my DVR broken ??

That's tough, check the dvr for tags, etc, and try to google it/find out a model #
I think its an AVTECH- does anyone know what button(s) that need to be pressed to toggle the device to start scrolling through date,day-etc...
I would sure appreciate the help

If you're dad gave it to you then I will assume that it is out of warranty.
Some of the DVRs have a warranty tape on the side so that you cannot open the chassis. The hard drive is inserted, and removed through the front panel.
This could be an AVC 770, or it could be a, 772, 773, or a 774
I am going to guess that you have an AVC 773. You should get close to what you need with this manual.

If not open your chassis, and look at the model number next to where it will say AVTech, and post this model number.

I cannot remember the sequence, but I believe when you are on the date, and time line in the system menu I believe you press enter, and then you can scroll time, and date up, and down with the up, and down buttons (pause, and stop buttons).
If that does not work then it may be the +, and - key (picture in picture, or quad screen buttons).
You would press menu to get off of that line, and then you would press menu to get out of the system menu, and then press menu one last time to get out of menu pages.

Use the keys marked - or + to change the values.
Far RIGHT hand side usually. + is marked SEQ!+

Hi everyone.
My company have an 4 CH Network support avtech 760 dvr.
and the time and the date are not correct on that device.
i need to change time and date due to the security issue.
but anyway when i changed date time everythings is fine but when i restart the dvr all my setting are set back to default.
i try to look for "battery" something like (Bios battery on PC)
but i can't find any where to insert battery too.

I think there is no date/time on power off. This is not a computer style bios system which continues a clock when power is off.
So it is not broken. If you power off, you reset the date/time to factory default.

MS621FE Battery
If your DVR does not keep the date, and the time then you may need to replace the battery on the main board. It is located under the board.
The battery is a MS621FE battery. Here are some various links on the battery.

Thanks for reply tricky.
Finally i have solved that problem on last friday (04/03/2010).
I found the battery on the below of the circuit ( main board) and it was too small and " FIX".
I can't removed that battery from main board unless i break it.
So i send that DVR to the some electronic services center and asked them to changed the battery for me.
It is work after all.
Here is the battery's model no.
If anyone who have lost or face the same problem like me.. here is details
" MS62 " is the battery model no and it is smaller then the watch's battery.
located under then main board. ( up - side - down)
See ya !
