I am trying to download an RTMP stream. I have tried many of the recommended apps, and the only one that seems to work is FLV Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/FLV-Recorder-flash-video-stream-recording-software.htm). However, I am having the following problem:

Once a stream finishes downloading, it says it has captured the entire file e.g. 180 MB of 180 MB (100%), but the resulting flv file that is created is only 20 MB. I have noticed that this happens the most when my internet connection is going really fast (possible bug in code - buffer over run or something)?

How can i fix this?

Streaming Star stopped supporting clients long ago. I do not recommend to use any products from Streaming Star including FLV Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/FLV-Recorder-flash-video-stream-recording-software.htm) because of that.

I recommend you to get any other RTMP Flash stream recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-Adobe-Flash-FLV-videos.htm).
