I'm pretty new to this world, and have been reading through various threads trying to learn.

My main question at this point is how do you find a direct link to a stream/file?

Example:
http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/watch/Prospectors/6723672245450192112/394339395752/Prospectors-309%3A-Million-Dollar-HD/videos

and a member from this site was able to send me this from that link:


http://ccr.cim-prog.top.comcast.net/CDNFan03/OPUS/264/363/394339395752_1423136349934.mp4

How do you get that "direct link"?

Any help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to learn and understand and have a few more streams I need to get

Nobody? I have been spending hours upon hours each day trying to figure this out.

I've tried various URL Snoopers, Sniffers, etc. , tried changing user agent, I just do not know what to do. The original member that provided me with that direct link will not respond to tell me how he got it...Guess its a closely guarded secret

Edit: Wow I guess it is secret information, when I went to send him a PM asking if he could tell me how he got that link, I noticed that he blocked me from sending him PM's. I guess not sharing information is that serious.

Stinkfoot, Thank You for your detailed response and Time. I know time is valuable and I appreciate your help.

Ever since my original post I've spent hours upon hours, reading, and trying different things. I was unaware about the tools for the tablet, or that the direct link originates from the tablet. I guess the "work by tablet app" got lost in translation.

From your response I'm "armed" with more information which hopefully will allow me to get the results I'm after.

I would love to, but unfortunately I have been unsuccessful.

I can tell you that only about 10% of content on Xfinity/Comcast will have those kind of links, and the only way you will get them is if you are using their tv go app via tablet or smartphone.

So install their app on your tablet or smartphone, load a video up, and sniff your network, and cross your fingers.

That is all I know to tell you. I would like to try and find a direct link to another episode, but #1- I do not have a tablet or smartphone capable of running their app and #2 - even if I did there is no guarantee that the episode will have a chapter link
