i need to install rtmp for ffmpeg installation on a 64 bit centos 5.4 machine. could anyone hellp me in finding out rtmp and its dependencies

Haven't tried to use ffmpeg and curl for RTMP streams. Hopefully other members can share their experience.

But why don't you just use rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) instead? It is easy to compile and install it in Linux.
