I recently restored my OS and now I find that FairUse Commander will not run. FU4WM still runs fine and works on individual files, but I'd like to be able to do multiple folders at once again.
I'm guessing that there's some file that Commander needs to run that I no longer have installed in windows.
When I try to run the program I get an Application Error stating 'the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)'
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: Btw, I've redownloaded Commander a few times just in case from different sources, so I know it's not that.

you need to do a lot of complicated things to make it work. guess it's time to give up and just keep the DRM crap on the machine.

Such as? Like I said, it used to work on my previous install and I don't recall having to jump through any hoops. I likely already had installed the required software sometime earlier is all.

Since my other thread is being ignored, I'll state here. It's unable to get key due to lack of support for WMA 11, I'll have to recreate the error to get it right but it's close.

Install .net framework. i installed tinyxp onto a virtual machine w/ virtual box and the .net install fixed the problem (same error code).
i got .net 3.5 if it matters.

Rob, the workaround i used was to download and install virtualbox and use it to install wmp10 on. I made a pretty complete guide about it on my website here

I installed the 3.5 framework and still does not work.
I dont get any error code. It simply does not perform any search for media .
It looks fine but no results for search media come up.
a window reporting a bug does appear immediately that the search option is submited.

Just in case anyone googles for this problem: please make sure WMFSDKWrapper.dll (bundled in the second .rar download link in the tutorial) is included in the same directory as FairUseCommander in addition to having .net framework installed.

hi, i use FU4WM v1.3 (fix1, fix2, etc.). With this version of the tool you dont need any FU Commander.
simply drag'n drop any number of folders from different locations, and FU4WM will add all WMA's which are located in those folders and in all subfolders.
