Hi,

I bought a season on amazon instant video for 25 bucks (NO rental). The problem is that I'm really tired of buffering. I want to watch my payed videos without technical interruption.

So I googled a lot and managed to download an episode with rtmpdumphelper. But the video- and the audio-streams are encrypted (envc and enca), so I can't play the flv-file (mediainfo prints plausible data, but it is unplayable). As I bought the season and own a license for this video, is there any way to remove the DRM? I just need to "use" my license the way the flash-plugin does, if I'm streaming.

Is anybody out there who managed to remove such DRM?

Thanks in advance

afaik, there isn't any public information about how to remove flash access drm. But, I thought amazon had stopped using it. What is the name and season of the content?

Besides flash, amazon also sends by other methods such as silverlight and tablet platforms. The means to decrypt these is rather involved. See this thread (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/downloading-amazon-prime-streaming-video-p71449.html#post71448).

Thanks for your reply.

I dumped my firefox cache and there was a json-property called "drm" with the value "flash access" near the rtmpe-url. I bought the third season of Hart of Dixie.

Yes, amazon also sends via silverlight. I tried to download the stream with ismdownloader (avc1-version) but all I get is ERROR: Audio format 'Vendor-extensible format' is not supported!
So I thought I give it a try with flash, because I can download at least something. And afaik there is no way to download encrypted silverlight-streams. But it's pretty indifferent for me HOW I gain a playable file.

It's a shame, what DRM does to us payers. Hopefully amazon offers an offline-mode for the fire tv (respectively android) soon.

It's season 3, but I bought it at amazon germany, maybe they've got different drm-politics. Germany is pretty backwoods with internet-stuff-laws. ;)

Sorry, I didn't realize you were referring to amazon.de

I have no idea what they use there. Is the series dubbed with german audio, or does it just have subtitles?

Yes, the series is dubbed with german audio. Also there are no other audio-streams, just the german one.

I always get the offline version of my PAID series from tvu.org.ru.

I really hate buffering!
